I really wanted to like this game, but unfortunately it just isn't good. Each case is just a collection of up to 4 suspects and up to 4 witnesses. You can talk to all of them (which gives you a line of written dialogue) and you can investigate the witnesses (which gives you a clue or nothing). The problem is that everything takes time, especially investigating. Since you get no useful information on the suspects, you have nothing to base your decisions on. Basically all you can do is memorize which investigations are useful and do those on your second or third playthrough. You're not a sleuth, you're playing Memory. The pictures of Old Hollywood actors for the people are fitting, but since they are assigned randomly each time you start a case, you cannot use them to remember who is who. You better write down the names. Another problem is that some cases can only be solved by asking one of your sources of inside information. However, those will stop helping you unless you deliberately...

An incredibly frustrating game. It is impossible to solve most of the murders in the time allowed, and you have to bring outside information (ie, the solution or possible solutions from previous playthroughs) to successfully manage most of the cases. The style is nice, and if it were actually capable of creating a whodunnit, then it would be worth playing. As it stands it is not worth the $3 price tag. Also, there are spelling mistakes in the game, which is completely unacceptable.

A really unique and great idea of a game! Though, execution details is very clean but somewhat sloppy, and gameplay time might be limited (not sure yet how many cases are there). More puzzle than strategy, You investigate crimes by asking witnesses and following suspects, then you press them to confess, all in stylish noir visual from public domain photos. The sloppy execution is in how there are limited action you can do (though the gameplay is more about picking what action you do since you have very limited time), the limited user interface/options (though actual UI is simple, clean, and easy to use) , and how there might be limited gameplay, since the cases aren't randomized, and once you know solution of a case there's no point of replaying it. I don't know how many cases are there yet though. Summary! Great idea! Worth it for the low price.

Edit: As of 11/10/2017 most of the problems i found in the original release are now fixed. So for this price, it's now highly recommended! State 04/10/2017 Game is ok. Wasn't sure to recommend this or not, but for now, unless some stuff gets improved, I can not recommend it. Things that need to get improved / fixed: Option to put the game to windowed and not forced windowed-fullscreen at a fixed resolution. Option to lower the Volume. Maybe an option to change the resolution? Option to go back to the menu from the game. For now, you can only quit the game by dropping a case / winning it, then saving and quitting the game. Alt+F4 doesn't work. You need to quit the game to change something in the settings, if you are in the game already. The case around Nick Holden has a ridiculous win-condition. It doesn't make sense at all! Game can give you a case you are forced to drop, in a situation where your chief does not allow you to drop one more. At least 2 cases rely solely on us...

A very original game. I have never played anything like this before. It is easy and fast to play as the interface is simple to work with. Most of the cases are clever and challenging. In all a good game at a low price.

Nice game idea. They had made it simple and fast to play a rather complicated subject. I highly recommend this if you like solving mystery cases or you are a fan of film noir movies.

The non-serious atmosphere really doesn't suit a whodunit style game. Also the game is more about pure luck than actual deduction (even when you know who the killer is, the game still forces large amounts of RNG luck)

A good logic puzzle, with a constricting time crunch, each decision you make taking a set amount of time off the clock, before you are forced to drop the case. 3 ways to lose, not having enough time at the end of the case, thus the wife becomes dis-satisfied with the relationship and leaving you, dropping too many cases, where your boss fires you, and something about a secret admirer becoming disgruntled with you (haven't seen that one yet). Nice retro style. Love these types of games, but requires a lot of luck. The developer was very nice. Already got my money's value and intend to play this in my spare time, when I just need a quick break.

Fun for a few hours. Sort of repetitive in the sense that you need to manage your time super hard for some cases, and others are done in seconds, so you make yourself a handwritten guide on who to accuse, how to get that conclusion, so you don't get fired before the end of the game. I think it's worth the price and fun, just be aware that you'll see many of the same things over and over until it's easy for you

A dull repetitive game. Just click and read and run against a stupid time limit. Have so long to investigate but must take time off for family more time for the confession, completely stupid.
