About This Game

Mass O' Kyzt is an arena based platformer wherein you upgrade your enemies.

Play as an astronaut fighting aliens on the planet Ky, home of the psychic hivemind race known as the Kyzt. In this 2D side-scroller, you will destroy masses of aliens living on the aforementioned planet.

As it stands, your objective is to destroy as many Kyztlings as you possibly can. Hopefully, someone somewhere will come to rescue you before you're overwhelmed!

You will be placed at a location specifically chosen by your administrators on the surface of planet Ky. From there, you must fight off hoards of Kyztlings - small, malleable aliens which obey no higher power than their Hive Master.

Every so often, you are forced to decide between making your enemies stronger, faster or tougher. Whichever you choose will immediately augment the Kyzt forces, causing them to become more effective in their advances.

Supplies are sparse on planet Ky, so it's very difficult to get a chance to recover any damage that you take. However, Kyztlings are an excellent source of Special Energy. Special Energy won't heal you, but it is able to be used as ammunition for more powerful shots. Some forms of Special Energy are known to have unusual effects on your weapon, so stay alert!

Its a fun little game, the problem is that it feels more like a flash game or a mobile game, its not worth the steam price, its needs more content, it will give you an hour or two of fun but after that it gets boring

Saw this guy's post on Reddit and decided to try it out! So should you! Just killed a few thousand of those slimy hive pests. I really like the choice to make them stronger, faster, or tougher. Totally worth the few dollars to support a new dev!!! I'll def get a good amount of playtime out of this one. No real complaints for his first run at a release-ready game. A simple but difficult, no micro-transactions, skills-based game.

Really cool, simple game. I love those small indie games that don't overwhelm you with tons of items, storyline etc. Great feeling to kill a couple of thousand of enemies after hard day at work. I also played it on Ubuntu, which is a huge plus for me. Totally with the 6 euro :)

Mass O' Kyzt is a 2D retro pixel wave survival shooter with lightweight platforming elements. You control a pixel blob in a single screen and enemies drop from the sky that you have to shoot. As you shoot enemies you eventually get upgrades, but these are limited to your health, speed and attack power... it's pretty shallow. There's also boss fights, not that it makes a huge difference. This feels like some kind of precursor to Vampire Survivors and may have appealed to that audience if it was implemented better (and let's face it, Vampire Survivors with all the pixelcrap art is a miracle success against all odds, zoomer appeal is a weird thing to capture). Anyway the game "works" but it's shallow stuff and you've seen pretty much all there is after 5 minutes. And, while it might seem like I'm digressing, picking up crap like this at say 50c and getting 5 minutes of gameplay (because there's not much to this) is way worse value for money than picking up an old AAA game for $5 an...

A simple shooter, and a pretty fun one too! The content of the game is pretty limited, but it is pretty satisfying to shoot the aliens till they go poof. Difficulty wise, my only gripe is that more often than not deaths are the result of the swarm of enemies, rather than the upgrades you give enemies offering any significant change to the gameplay, which I think was the intent, still, for the price, I say go for it.

Love the graphics. Love the idea. I play muted and just listen to my own music, as I do with every arcade style game Now...I can't recommend this. It needs a few updates to make it an actual game. I hate to say it that way but currently it's just repetitive and not that great... Different unlocks need to do different things. There needs to be diversity. Right now the unlocks just look like they change the skin. The maps aren't different enough from what I've seen to change the gameplay a significant amount. I don't care if it just changes the stats where like you move 10% faster and do 10% less damage or you start enemies at -1 in a category, just something. As for the unlocks, bro, turn that shit down. How many rounds do you want me to play just to get another skin? Jesus Christ. That's way to grindy. 60 rounds? 250? 500? 750? That's sooooooooo many and I'm not gonna just start a game and die immediately. The game itself is fine enough but looking at the unlocks and some of the o...

Excellent game. Absolutely wonderful. I love the mechanic of upgrading your enemies. Overall, 8 out of 10. One of my only complaints is this: How on Earth do you pronounce Kyzt?
