About This Game

Azure Sky Project is a Tactical 2D Shooter where the player has complete freedom on how to tackle missions. Engage in our 15 hand-built campaign missions or farm up some money in our randomly generated "Freelance Work" missions.

You are the commander. The decisions are all yours.

Earn money to buy new gear, hire new agents and upgrade your base for more passive bonuses. Collect Prototype items from within missions to build extra powerful weapons and gadgets.

Defend your base from enemy attacks by building turrets, barbed wire fences, places to take cover, and by sending agents to repel enemy attack as they occur.

  • Over 30 pieces of gear to select for your load out, and more coming soon!
  • Unlockable PROTOTYPE items to bring a whole new dynamic to how you approach missions
  • Unlimited agents - there's always someone to hire!
  • Agents gain Experience and unlock special skills as they improve... if you keep them alive long enough.
  • Hidden and Rare agents with God-like stats that might show up from time to time
  • Manage your agents - send idle agents on side jobs for extra cash, or assign them to rest and heal from previous missions
  • Difficulty that punishes recklessness and rewards precision
  • Dynamic, scaling difficulty level to adjust game play to your skill level
  • Training modes featuring timed mini-games
  • Multiple enemy type including drones, turrets, spider-turrets and soldiers
  • Destructible buildings - make your own ways in or out!
  • A cover system to add to strategic depth

We are dedicated to making this game as fun and satisfying as possible and as such, this version will be consistently updated to reflect user feedback!

Our plans for now are weekly updates to tweak things, fix small issues, update UI, implement player ideas, item re-works, update art assets, and add content when we finish more.

We'll update crashes or major issues as soon as we can (probably within 24 hours of discovery) as long as we're able.

While it has a very good premise and the gameplay is decent, I can feel a bit of a lack of polish, no options for resolution or sound or any kind of graphical options, you get what you get. Also the main part of a base building game is starting from the bottom and going to the top, in this you are thrown into it with basically no tutorial or any idea of the controls (which you cannot reconfigure I might add) basically it needs a overhaul of the whole start of the game.

Well, a few suggestions. Make moving up and down floor one button ( maybe make it a mappable button?) highlight anything that acts like a door ( like the roof vent thing in the warehouse levels maybe blue like other doors?) Allow the choice of using surgery units or not. More varity in the faces of the mercs, maybe like a dozen or 2 different faces would help it feel less stale. ( even if it is just color differences ) Bugs 1)During a defend your base mission, a enemy spawned but was off screen, i could hear the bullets hit, but it would die. maybe make the spawn die if they are off screen too long? 2)Could place barb wire slightly in the floor of the 2nd story ( was green) but took money away and didnt spawn the barb wire. Thats all I have for now, great game, would love to see what a little polish will do for gameplay. Keep up the good work!

Azure Sky Project (ASP) is surprisingly challenging, gripping and since it is only in early access and was only released not long ago, it has a lot of potential. You basically manage a private military contractor, sort of. You manage a number of agents who you can train, equip and choose to go on special missions or "side missions." Each agent is different due to stats such as speed, accuracy and life points. They level up the more missions they do, which means you can end up feeling attached to certain agents, and feeling rather fustrated or sad when they die. In that regard, you can really lose or win at any moment. The action is pretty decent and will challenge you at every level. It isn't a game that holds you hand, as you are really free to carry out the missions how you want. There are a few cons, such as the simplistic graphic style, but that is to be expected for a game that is this young and fresh out the oven. There are many pros though, such as destructive environment (...

I really like this game and how you can do the missions in your own way on your own terms. Chose your items carefully as they make or break a mission. This game has significate replay value as it lets you go back through missions you have completed. If you want to get some practice or just see how it would turn out if you did something different just play through again! Pick up the game you will not be dissapointed!

Dead game that never got polished. And why did I have to pay for this mess when you're giving it away for free now?
