It's just a tank shooting range with bleh sound effects and basic models. However, the only reason I ever invested in VR was for any kind of crew and first person based tank sim and it's obvious from the moment you load in that's what TankVR is going for. There is quite literally nothing else that is even close to this future style of gameplay and I have been waiting for it for 2 years now. All I can say is while I'm very biased towards this game because all I've wanted for god knows how long is a VR tank sim, I think it's more than worth the dollar just for the potential this game holds in the future. Keep up the work devs, and I hope TankVR comes out exactly as you plan.

The Concept of a VR tank game sound cool, but this game is not. The camera has a mind if its own, you can't play the game after 5 mins because the camera has moved outside of the tank and makes it near imposible to aim. there is no real gameplay, all you do is hit paper targets, there is no tank on tank combat at all. The devloper as also not released a single update since release and has pretty much disappared. Save you money for when Tanks VR releases if you want a tank game that has any promise.
not quite a full sim, but you get a tank interior and gamepad controls on motion controls. ai tanks to shoot would be nice. not bad for less than a dollar.
Experienced on the Oculus Rift with Touch Controllers
The only issue I had was that the right and left Touch controllers were swapped as far as HTC Vive controller menu instructions Currently as of 1.5.0, there are two maps. Your objective is to destroy enemy AI tanks. That was easy enough on the first map as it was relatively small and there were also these big red arrows just in case you didn't know where the enemy tanks were. I had problems on the second map. The map is larger. And for whatever reason, the big red arrows that I could have sworn were there at the start of the game, disappeared. I found and destroyed 3 tanks, but I looked all around the map and couldn't find any other thanks. Are there even more than 3 tanks? It almost doesn't matter because the enemy AI tanks are terrible. I don't know how you would lose against them. The only real challenge is finding them. The other challenge is traversing the terrain. This game has a severe case of the pop-...
as an ex tank gunner i can say this is rubbish
Its got potential. Its very basic but if they add AI tanks and multiplayer like it says then it can be a great game. The graphics are alright and sound is simple. Hope the devs update to what they said they will. Would recomend when AI tanks and mulitplayer gets added.
If you want to know if a Tank Simulation could work in VR I can only suggest that you try this game. Calling this a Simulation at the current state is very ambitious from the DEV´s. But we will see what happens when time goes by and more updates were coming. So far it is like calling Super Mario Cart a Formula 1 Simulation... Anyhow, the feeling of sitting inside the Tank is just great and standing in the Commander Hatch while driving is just amazing.
Could be a good game. A little basic for now but has potential. Seems to have bugs at moment on positioning you in the tank with the right control grip. This should select gunner or command positions but it was sending me out of the tank at random spots, sometimes half in half out tank, other times 50 mtrs away from tank. Had to restart to get back inside. The graphics are dated, but hey, it's 79p. Keep updates coming and I'm sure it'll be fine. Uk-Kestrel
For 99 cents it wouldnt be worth it to return this game. The game at its current state is something less than desirable but with a little bit of changes here and there it could turn out to be a great game. The biggest change would be a better way to control the tank and the turret. That is probably why this game is not as good as it could be because the controls are akward and can be improved. I very much like that you are inside the tank as a crewman but the problem is one man can't control a tank on his own so for the multiplayer I suggest you should have an arcade like mode where you go against other players in your own tank and have another mode where you are in a tank with another person and you have to communicate with the person to effectively use the tank (One person would be the driver and the other be a gunner). I might have sounded very rude in this review but I truly do think that in the right hands this game has great potential, is very unique and could evolve to an amazin...
the videos and pictures are NOTHING like how the game actually is
