Steam Direct is back with a vengeance and it is now called "The Armament Project", your typical indie FPS set in a dystopian future and powered by the (sadly misused) Unreal Engine 4. POSITIVES + No optimization issues (so far...) + No crashes (so far...) NEGATIVES - Very short (4 levels, 15 min of gametime) - Overpriced - Generic setting - Uninspired level design - Nonexistant ambiant sound FX - Bulletsponge enemies - Only one enemy type - Only one weapon - Bad voice acting - Poorly written introduction Not the worst game to come out from Steam Direct but definitely not worth your time and money! Think about Jason Welge's Time Ramesside but minus the gamebreaking bugs! REQUESTING A REFUND! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H8r4vQEoF1Y Rating: 0.5 / 10

About This Game
The combat is a unique blend of modern and old school FPS gameplay with a heavy emphasis on movement.
Enemies Will Use Tactics to Try to Kill You, they
communicate over radio, so you have to keep
your eyes and your ears open. Movement is a
core aspect of the Armament Project. Within its
tightly woven arenas, enemies flank, charge and
wait for the perfect opportunity to end your game.
To combat this, you must move consistently to throw
off their aim.
The game works off a wave-based system. Each wave gets increasingly harder.
The more enemies you kill, the higher your score.
Your highest score will be recorded by the game.

The Armament Project is a cool throwback to 90s FPS in style, substance, and inspiration. Armament offers a level based design (3 levels) in the vein of Wolfenstein 3D and Doom, but with the subtle maze-like structure of Quake. Likewise, Armament offers a nod to actions films like Terminator and Aliens (which inspired early FPS). But instead of aliens, machines, or Nazis, Armament offers a battle through a prison in the context of a dystopian society and government class wars. Though brief, the game is a fun little FPS experience. I like the storyline (I’m biased in enjoying a deeper story to my FPS), but the story is a little too complex for a shorter game. I think such nuanced storytelling will prove useful as DYS Top builds more complex games. As a nascent developer and publisher, DYS Top shows promise for future games with the likes of Armament. I look forward to checking out their sophomore release.
Save your money, game controls can't be reset to fit your style, movement factor is a joke, best put simply don't waste your $$
A fun Indie FPS! I recommend it.
