About This Game

BUILD / PRINT / PLAY

3D Printer Forge allows anyone to quickly and easily build Miniatures for 3D Printing. With our "Parts" system, even someone with zero drawing, 3D design, or any other formal training can make detailed miniatures for their gaming needs.

What are you waiting for, hundreds of parts are just waiting for you build the miniatures you have always wanted to! We have even had some early testers print out large parts and piece them together to make giant miniatures 3 feet tall.. the options are limitless!

UPDATE: Fantasy Miniatures Update!

- Our first major update adds a much anticipated Fantasy Miniatures build area. You can now create and 3D print fantasy hero miniatures!

  • This software is designed to be used in part with a 3D Printer of any kind. However, it can be used on it's own. The file format exported by Printer Forge 3D are .STL files.
  • Printer Forge 3D's exported STL files are compatible with all 3D printers that support that industry standard STL format. The STL files do not dictate the quality your 3D Printer can print, this is solely dependent on your slicing software of choice and the many settings you control on your 3D printer. For optimal performance from your 3D printer please contact the manufacturer or make use of the many online resources available.
  • Options for a 'Commercial License' will be available after the Early Access phase. This will allow owners of this license to commercially utilize the miniatures they create in Printer Forge 3D, more information will be available closer to the end of the Early Access.

Note: Some slicing software packages may require you to ensure the STL models are Manifold (water tight) before printing, however many solve that issue for you before printing.

THIS SOFTWARE IS USELESS CRAP THAT DOES NOT WORK, AVOID AT ALL COSTS! DOES NOT WORK ON AUTOCAD SOFTWARE OR SIMPLIFY 3D!!!!! Ok now having given it a thrashing I am less than impressed. The mirror option the creators recommend does not work because any mirrored part does not print. This is a pre day one launch error surely. The work area is cluttered with useless crap like a cityscape and floor that makes seeing the model more difficult. Want to look at the underside sorry floor is in the way you will have to raise the model up to do that. Also everything is rendered in dishwater grey making it exceeingly hard to see the detail and it clips like a mother. This is due to the models being made for gaming unity assets you can just go buy yourself! More on this below. There is no option to slice the model up for optamised printing in the program meaning anything you do make will look quite awful due to poor print orientation and massive amount of supports needed or you will have to ...

This has potential, but needs more work. The snap tool doesn't seem to work all the time, the rotate tool is just for eyeballing (no degrees to get a 90 or 180), some parts don't have a matching mirror and no mirror option. No scale numbers so you have to eyeball the all your scales. I'm hoping more gets added in the full release. As it is now, meshmixer has more options for editing stuff. Also, exported some stls and not all the faces were right. Couldn't print with out fixing in other software. Wait until it's fully fleshed out. I'll update my review then.

The software is clunky, cumbersom, and incomplete. Weapons are backwards on the fantasy models, and you cannot change hands. (Why would you put shields on the right hand, and not on the left?) Mech and starship snapping points don't work, and there are open manifolds all over the models. Any .stl you export for printing will need some serious work in a repair program like Meshmixer or Netfabb before you can derive a reliable gCode. This is definitely alpha-stage -- not early access. It would've been a decent purchase at $4.99, not $49.99 - the FREE tools that you need to fix the files are much more powerful than the program used to create the models.

This is a great piece of software, although I found that with slicing the model with simplfy3d leaved artifacted models, so instead i imported the model to cura and then saved it after sclicing so i could print it with simplfy3d, just a simple workaround for all you guys using S3D -Quick suggestions! -tab menus for mech torsos, legs, weapons, plating, accessories instead of it all being in one big tab maenu. -Snap fit parts -360 degree camera movement with optional free cam -Fine tune positioning with numbers and decimals simmilar to simplfy3d -Generic item names -Medieval parts like wooden scafoldings and wagon wheels -Snap facing, Front, read, left, right ect -Flip parts to make a left arm lazer a right arm lazer (I geuss turning it inside out works too) -Snap translations, rotations are nessessary Copy and paste part options -Optional grid floor?

Saves dont work properly. Everything is just eyeballed, no scale to anything. Spider legs are very fragile when printed. Fantasy Miniatures are pretty lame

I highly recommend this product. It’s good for vehicles, buildings, and dungeons. Not good for humanoid prints. It takes a little hands on trial and error and a bit of searching to find your saves on you computer. I like it so far I’ve built a test Mech and when I left for work it was coming out beautiful on my Anycubic 3D printer which is a DMR. After figuring out where the saved file are I haven’t had any problems and it’s exactly what it claims to and would recommend getting it espicially for RPG,Wargames, board games, or as show peices. I also think the others negative about this product seems to be nit pickers beyond my use
