About This Game

Every 10,000 years the sun descends on Planet Blorb and the call of the Grand Arena rings out across all the land, beckoning its slimy denizens to battle! Countless slimes journey far and wide for a chance to be immortalized as true champions of technique to all slimekind!

Super Slime Arena is a multiplayer party fighting game embracing equal parts accessibility and chaos. Every slime has a unique attack and every attack is a one-hit-KO. Every time your slime gets KO'd, you respawn as a different character. True mastery demands understanding of 32 slimes with unique qualities, and learning how their abilities interact in over a thousand possible match-ups!

Play on 12 unique stages in 5 different game modes. Dive in to the chaotic action of Shuffle mode, or carefully consider each matchup while picking and counter-picking slimes for Elimination mode. Explore the wilds of the Rainbow Jungle, ricochet off walls in Lucky Neko Pinball, or fight between high-speed trains at Country Slime Station. Enjoy handmade 16-bit pixel art backgrounds and an original retro-inspired soundtrack from over a dozen different artists!

Fight with all of your friends, and all of your controllers! Enter the arena using nearly any controller from retro to modern, fight sticks or flight sticks, plastic guitars and bongos! We don't put any limits on the number or type of controllers you can use (as long as they have enough inputs) and the game supports as many players as you have controllers for, both local and online*!

Inspired by a plethora of 90's Japanese console games and modern party game classics, Super Slime Arena seeks to capture the unique joy of playing together in a friendly and approachable fighting game for everyone!

Great game, but I have no friends.

Love the presentation and concept of the game but sadly there is no single player or AI Bots to play against as far as I can tell. This means your only option to play the game is with real people either online or locally. There were no online games when I checked and none of my friends have this so I have no real way of playing this game by myself at the moment. There really needs to be some single player mode or this needs to be priced like other multiplayer only games without single player such as "Hidden in Plain Sight" which is only $7. Most likely will be refunding since in my current situation I can't play the game by myself.

Love the graphics. Especially the animated + interactive aspects of the stages which make the game even crazier. Some bugs to work out especially with lobby connection, but loads of fun and will definitely be playing as it continues to progress to be less wonky. Recommend picking it up to support the devs and be ready for the updates!

I was expecting something amazing when I first clicked on this game, I expected something with a pixely style, japanese art, and other fun. When I finally checked out and played the game, however, I found an incredibly detailed and well-made figurative explosion of color, character, and references to Kirby. Like, a lot of Kirby. I am precisely 2700% okay with this. From the slimes, (i.e. Cowboy, Tornado, and Beam [Would be Laser]) to the stages, even to the sun's movement in the opening cutscene and trailer! Now, I'm not saying this is a clone or that this is bad in ANY way, shape, or form. This is an amazing game, and although yes, there are some grammatical errors and glitches, please take note that this game came out THIS MORNING. Thank you, creators. You've made something great! Edit 2/10/25: This is a review I wrote in 2018, when I was much younger and clearly more impassioned than I am now, lol. While I usually might delete or private an old review like this, I still do echo a l...

I love this game. I truly do, it has fun gameplay mechanics and art style. i know i have 0.4 hours on the game but i enjoyed the game. The only reason im giving it a bad recommendation is because it crashs on start now after an update, i hope the devs fix this.

I was lucky enough to get the chance to try Super Slime Arena during its beta at various conventions - it nails the intersection of chaos and deep, yet accessible strategy that makes a fun party game. You're on your toes constantly adapting to new changes to your abilities, to the level, and to your opponents' abilities, but the strengths and weaknesses of each slime are simultaneously obvious enough to immediately exploit and deep enough to lead to some seriously complex strategy. SSA is an excellent party game that lends itself brilliantly to picking up as a newcomer and has the replayability and depth to last you days of new discoveries and experiences.

I came to this game thinking I would have a good, enjoyable time playing with friends online. NOPE! Online doesnt even work. And They're not even trying to fix it. Infact, I dont even think they care about this game anymore. they havent updated this game in a 1/3 of a year. That's how much the dev's of this game care. I dont think they could care less to be honest. I spent $15 on this piece of crap game. I cannot reccommend this game at all.

honestly disregarding the community and bugs because its such a new game theres really no community; its a great game in every right that i enjoy and want out of a game. but i only have 1 friend to play this game with. meaning its kind of lonely without friends. i would give it an 8/10 i would like to see bots and a training or practice mode in the game.
