At first i thought its another clone of NT with more gungeon stylish, but this is something really different, things like temporal buffs, fastpaced, character swapping.. this combination works and game is addictive. I didnt played much yet, but i think its fair concurent to mentioned games. Another great rogue game to my lib. Big thumb up for that its Slovakian game :) Tl,Dr; If you like roguelite games like NT or Gungeon, this is must have

About This Game
You have been granted immortality! Well, what’s left of you has. There wasn’t much left of you after the demons ate you. If you’re going to get your body back, you’re going to have to kill some demons... actually, rather a lot of demons. Really, we may be talking demonocide here... Frankly we expect angry letters from demon pressure groups asking us to explain why you can murderize so many of them in this game without any moral qualms whatsoever. But you’re up for that, right?
Hellmut: The Badass from Hell is a fast-paced bullet-storm dungeon crawler that cranks the nonsense up to 11 and puts you right in the thick of it. Take control of various Transformations and unlock new Transformations each time you complete the game. Challenge randomly generated bosses across the randomly generated world, defeat demonic hordes, loot valuable treasures and soulstones, equip powerful weapons and use all your skills to save humanity! Or at the very least, save yourself, which feels at least as good as saving humanity.
Each Transformation gives you new ways of slaughtering yet more hordes of demons! Command rats as the Rat King, become the Orc Fairy with her mighty spells (well, as mighty as an Orc Fairy can cast...), dip enemies in the questionable goo of the Slimeball, or become many other ludicrous monstrosities that the marketing department couldn’t be bothered to mention in this blurb.
Look, you’ve read this far so you must be interested. Just stick it on your Steam wishlist and wait for a sale... or take pity on the starving developer and let them buy food this week. Those demons aren’t going to slay themselves!

It causes my physical pain to hit the "NO" button. There is so much good in this game. Great graphics, presentation is par-excellence, sounds, concept, animations... everything except the gameplay... it's just way too flat. Choices for upgrades are limited and of little use... I want to love this game and you can see from my play time I've given it a good shot. But I find myself becoming bored as I play. What a shame. If you're super-curious, get it on sale, but the underlying gameplay is pretty thin. I hate to say it.
Fun game, great art style, i love the enemies and the hell theme. Picked this up after waiting for a few months for it to become available, not disappointed in the slightest, controls are slick and the gameplay is fluid and fun. Reminds me of Enter the Gungeon, except this game seems easier to play
It pains me to say this, because there's so much good about this game (see the videos and screenshots), but Hellmut is just profoundly boring to play. No interesting choices to make, no gameplay other than circle-strafe and shoot, and enemies start hitting harder than a truck at just the point my eyes glaze over so that I stop being able to avoid them. There's just not enough to be engaged in as a player for it to be a decent proposition -- but I wish there was.
They honestly need to fix collision detection for this game, it is way OFF
The difficulty is quite easy for a roguelike genre, but that was the purpose I guess. Very engaging, fast-paced, some bugs here and there, but in overall it feels very decent. The price tag is... high... but up until now, I spent 10h+ in the game and still having fun. Somehow it reminds me about Alienshooter :) Before work I do a quick run and my day can start ^.^
Buy Nuclear throne instead. Pros: Nice Visuals Cons: Unlocks are way too grindy to get, if the starting characters don't appeal to you, tough titty. Dev needs to take a few more pages from Nuclear Throne, and add characters you don't have to beat the game to unlock, or add literally any information about HOW to unlock them, and add some B skins. I can get a refund if I played under 2 hours right?
It's like Enter the dungeon, but without innovation
I have played bullet-hells. I have played dungeon crawlers. But when you put them together...YES! So much yes. I'm not very good at these kinds of games, but good lord they are fun. I'm still learning this game, but at this point: I can easily recommend this game! Pros: -Guns. Lots of them! -Characters. Quite a few that are unlockable during your playthrough. I found out you can permanently unlock a new mutation if you beat the game, so good luck! -Playstyles. Each "mutation" (A.k.a Character) has a unique skill and weapon that can really change the way you play. This keeps the game from feeling stale and adds variety to the game. Con: -No multiplayer. Devs have confirmed this is a work-in-progress however, so expect this "con" to go away in the future!
Very polished roguelike dungeon crawler that gets addictive pretty quickly. Its hardcore and it looks gorgeous, quite the two qualities you need from this genre. I am personally more fond of this than Nuclear Throne. Deserves more attention!
