About This Game

As an ECHO – a digital entity representing a human’s consciousness – you can transfer yourself into a Sentinel, a mechanized chassis built specifically for this purpose. Manufactured by various companies, each has been built to fulfill a different role on the battlefield.

Now that the Trident, humanity’s last colony ship and bastion of hope, has been overrun by an unknown alien force, it’s up to you to take it back and ensure humanity’s embryo’s survival.

Choose from several Sentinels, each offering unique capabilities.

Will you take the enemy head-on with a Moskva, deploying a barrier that allows your allies to take some cover? Or perhaps you’d prefer the nimble Mogami that can dash behind enemy lines, deliver a deadly spread of super-heated projectiles, and dash back to safety? Choose wisely and co-operate with your team, and humanity may still have a chance to start anew.

You also have at your disposal a wide array of weaponry and abilities. Mix a flamethrower, the “Guzzler”, with a “Javelin” railgun or a "Viper" hand cannon with the "Buster" plasma rifle. Throw a supply pack for your teammates and receive a repair station as a thank you. Add mission modifiers to raise the stakes in exchange for increased rewards. Fight through each of the ship’s sectors, and free them to unlock new weapons and abilities.

Customize your weapons by re-rolling their stats, and upgrade them once you’ve found enough tech. Unlock passive bonuses as you increase in rank, and become the legend that aliens fear.

Remember your training and what’s at stake. Humanity is counting on you, ECHO!

TLDR: Do not buy, unless your intent is to try out something new in coop similar to Helldivers. Otherwise, play them or Alien swarm, Magicka, Running with rifles, Livelock. This game is too EA, too grindy, too boring and badly balanced in solo. _________________ This is my first refund. Bought this because of one of the negative reviews, that recommended to buy Helldivers (that I already have) instead and complained about game's difficulty in solo. I played it for about an hour and must say that it is not that hard: the missions are very short (it took me half an hour to complete first mission solo after some tinkering with settings and two failed attempts, and then I had something like 4-5 successful runs and one failed), but the game itself is just not fun. It is not well paced - completion of first two available missions won't grant you access to other two, you can see on mission select screen. These two will either require reaching some higher rank or reaching mission score of 1...

Love the vibe of the game, this is what I needed for a friends get-together or a crash on the couch. Would love to see more customizability (weaponry, skills, et cetera and such) for local-based gameplay with friends right out of the box without having to invest too much time into the game to unlock such features. I get it's the part of the game, but it's still rather time consuming. Certainly quite a few bugs - this is expected for an early access, and there are definitely no complaints in that department, I am sure this will get taken care of in due time.

Such a depressing game. Nowhere near the level of helldiver.

As the game stands now, i cant honestly advise playign it and asked for a refund. does it have potential? hell yes! but the devs should take some classes on usabillity and game design first. the online lobby needs a lot of work, the controlls need work. the UI needs work. the entire flow of the game needs work. the graphics are fine as is. the "flow of the game" needs LOADS of work (as in when do you unlock what) everything needs to be 300% more logically placed on the screen. check back on this game after about a year and a half of constant updates, it might be a "late bloomer" gem.

HellDivers is way better. More content, better maps and objetive system. This one is just good if it's really on a sale to fool arround. But in many ways it lacks content or innovation. The concept is good, but now how it's made

The game is rough around the edges and I could let it slide since it looks like its got potential... But, the big nope for me was that my controller would not work in certain part of the game: - Tutorial wasn't working at all. Couldn't even press Start to quit - Menu works if your mouse's cursor isn't on any selection object - No menu option to enable/disable controller or mouse - Some options aren't highlighted when you move around with the controller (difficulty/skulls/mutators things?) When I buy a game that says "Full Controller Support" (and especially a Twin Stick Shooter), I expect to be able to not use my mouse to navigate around. I don't go ballistic if the game requires a bit of "mousework", but this is too unreliable to be worth the hassle. Oh, and also, when I checked the servers, there was only one person playing so, that's not looking good either :(

Definitely a fun twin stick shooter, but some day one glaring glitches keep us from fully enjoying the experience. Some refinement of the UI, bugsmashing, and party system will go a long way

hoped the game was challenging and good. pros: +graphic looks nice. cons: -2easy (i put everything on hardest setting) even solo with starting gear -grindy for no reason to upgrade things u dont even need. -not really any variety on the maps -enemy ai is bad. (example: big juggernaut-like enemie shooting you? just stand infront of him and bake a cake cause he cannot hit you at all) -first weapon unlock is a overpowered weapon. Handgun with high damage good firerate and big magazine. -like zero playerbase -achievements not working at all (edit1) -BORING! -2EASY!!11 tl;dr: boring and grindy topdownshooter without any kind of difficult or challenge.

I used to play Alien Syndrome, and Alien Breed series and I like this well thought Indie gem, it has it's own twists and original ideas applied over that gameplay. Players can be unlocked and evolve with experience, abilities can be unlocked, weapons can be unlocked and improved to provide different tactics, difficulty provides a good challenge to apply good characters builds. Argentinians developers created a good game with it's own identity on the gameplay. Here is a video with the second sentinel: https://youtu.be/PNMaaN9Y2-8

I purchased this game knowing it was in early access due to this line : ''Trident’s Wake is ready to play'' This is a lie. The game is barely functional as a game. The animations are not complete, lighting is not complete, server code is not complete, enemy ai is not complete. I barely managed to complete 1 level in a giggle fit over just how bad this was. Play Alien Swarm instead, same game (and considering the age difference its amusingly better looking as well)
