A fun quasi Contra shooter, but is sadly uneven in challenge from stage to stage. Some stages, even later on, are a breeze, while some stages, even earlier are, will test your patience and depends more on memorization than actual skill and reflexes. Could use some checkpoints in stages, even if it's just one halfway through. All three characters play the exact same, so there's no real reason to ever use one over the other. Unless you happen to like their design. Also, needing to shoot bosses 100 times with the basic gun is insane, especially with the final two bosses. That was pure misery and made my hands ache. The bonus stage music is an ear worm and it goes on for oddly too long for what it is, especially compared to the other tracks in the game. It feels like it was meant for something else and just shoved into a spot where you'd never hear the whole thing unless you're like me and sat in there with the audio going while having to do something else.
