It's not really a wave shooter in the generic sense, but it does have a lot in common with stand still wave shooters. Although you can crouch and get behind objects within your play space, honestly, you seldom have to do that unless you just want to roleplay. This game is more like a mini-shooting gallery with many levels that are different, but also look eerily similar. And it's got a little bit of a puzzle factor to it, especially if you want to get S or A ratings. You do have to figure out what the best way is to kill all the enemies while getting maximum score to get S or A ratings. You would think that getting headshots as fast as possible would achieve that, but nope, that's seldom the case and time is not a factor in the score.
