very decent despite the fact that is is an old game. A very rich storyline too. It's a shame that the manual is not included. Also there does not seem to be the sequal, Kingdom Shadoan. Hopefully, it could be released here

About This Game
Now the fate of the Five Kingdoms rests upon Lathan, the last of the Argent Kings. To restore freedom he must first recover the broken pieces of the amulet, but his journey is filled with many challenges. Danger and evil forces await as you guide Lathan on his quest of power and magic.
This graphic adventure game is fully animated and requires more than simply choosing when to fight or which way to dodge in accordance with the animation. Instead the player has full control over Thayer Alconred's movement to different areas and must find and use a variety of magical objects to overcome enemies and obstacles. There are many ways to mess up and permanently lose the game. There are several branching paths, resulting in different dialogue. The RDI'S Computer voice sometimes gives hints and the player's score.
- A unique gameplay style based on using the right items in the right situations, or else...
- Lots of classic cartoon video footage
- You’ll be surprised how easy it is to die in a fantasy world!

Sorry to say this game is a p.o.s. Unless you are someone that enjoys memorizing sequences. Bc that is basically what this game is, you need to memorize which path doesn't kill you and how to get to items you need without it killing you. Traveling around the map is a horrible convoluted mess that has you going through the same areas and the same animations (thankfully skippable) multiple times. And likely bc of certain restraints at the time you have to do certain parts multiple times bc people will not remember you giving them an item to progress. Also the audio is shite which can make you miss clues. This happened to me in the first part of the game and since I was already getting a bit frustrated with the gameplay I went to YT to view a playthrough and never went back to the game. And that is my recommendation if you are curious about this game; go watch it on YT and don't submit yourself to this game. Go play Toonstruck, Loom or Sam & Max, but not this. It's not fun to play.
A hidden piece of FMV gaming, and a way to experience an arcade classic, the game is challenging at times, with some sections having you to think about what you have to do in that given situation. There are a few problems i found recently, such as the window size of the game, i don't know what happened after i finished it and didn't play it for months, but when trying to play the game again the window was shrunken down to a less than managable size, and the games loading was changed from a smooth fade to black to a loading screen similar to a picture trying to load very slowly, also worth mentioning that the game is confusing sometimes even to the point that if you do something or go somewhere wrong you're screwed, on one play-through i went to location and thieves showed up and took my stuff(that can happen at least 1 time in each play-through),which was fine except the location i went to would trigger an event in which you would have to show one of two specific items in order to be ...
its a best dnd typ game
This was a bit of a weird game. It's kind of a precursor to point and click FMV games. The gameplay really isn't that good, but I thought it was interesting enough to play through. If you like the style of animation and have the patience to put up with some old game BS, then this isn't a terrible game to pick up. You'll probably want to get it on sale, though.
