I like the art, but that's about all I like. The controls are non-existent, you have to figure out how they work. It's also mega buggy, Dont go near the edge of the screen because you will be stuck there, The aim of the game isn't clear either. This is clearly a game made by art students who didn't properly consider the "game" aspect of "videogame". I very much appreciate the idea of recreating the life cycle of a jelly fish, and it looks excellent. However, I really feel it needed some explananation at each point. For example when I become a polup perhaps some explanation of what that stage involves and why I am gathering random green stuff from random nearby blue stuff and then feeding it to random nearby yellow stuff would be helpful in learning about the jellyfish lifecycle.

About This Game
The story takes place in the depth of the ocean where the player takes the shape of a simple jellyfish.
Jellyfish presents the full life cycle of a jellyfish, a soft bodied, free-swimming aquatic animal with a gelatinous umbrella-shaped bell and trailing tentacles.
Most people are only familiar with the full-grown jellyfish, the translucent, bell-shaped creatures that occasionally wash up on beaches and swim almost in every ocean on earth.
And yet jellyfish have several very complex life cycles, in which they go through a number of different developmental stages that are presented in Jellyfish(this game).
As the story goes, the player will guide and accompany the jellyfish from it's very birth to the very end of it's journey.
Using the arrows(or WASD keys) to eat, solve various puzzles, fight hostile creatures, and then to chase a suitable mate, *and then find new life soaring the skies on a flying snail*.
Features:
1.The game features 10 different levels. The first two levels are mostly a casual game, the next two are more of a puzzle game, and then comes an RPG game.
2.Control the jellyfish using the arrow keys(or the WASD keys) to guide it through it's journey.
3. Jellyfish is designed as an "art game".
All the characters within the game are created by complex programming math codes, the movement is designed to be as smooth and elegant as possible.
4. This is a short game, a work of interactive art, which bring the most beautiful animal to your screen.
**Just like a painting of a sunflower on the rough canvas, imagine a jellyfish on your computer screen.
Jellyfish are among the most handsome and unique beings in our world, just like the growing flowers.
I have made this game to demonstrate how rich, deep, unique and beautiful our life is.**

Could be a great, relaxing and informative game. But it is not great, nor informative. Controls need some improvements, and there are a number of bugs, like getting stuck in objects, randomly moving without input, and input not having the correct effects. The art is very good though. The game world looks amazing, but refining the "game" part of this would greatly improve it. Even lifecycle simulations/self-completing stories need better gameplay than this currently has.
If you liked Plankton you are gonna like Jellyfish (If you haven't played it, nor know the Dev, I warn you that his games are short "experiences" at a very reasonable price). ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⢀⣠⠤⠖⠒⠒⠒⠦⣤⡀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⢀⠴⠋⣠⢄⠀⠀⠀⣠⠤⠀⠈⠳⣄⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⣰⠋⠀⠸⣿⣶⠀⠀⠀⣿⣶⠃⠀⠀⠈⢧⡀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⢠⠃⠀⠀⠀⠈⢁⠀⠀⠀⡀⠁⠀⠀⠀⠀⠈⣧⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⢸⠀⠀⡀⠀⠀⠀⠉⠉⠁⡀⠀⢀⠀⠀⠀⠀⢸⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠘⠦⡴⢳⡤⡟⡦⢾⠳⠴⡷⢤⢾⠦⡴⢳⡴⠋⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠰⢉⢴⠟⡰⠳⠘⡄⡆⢰⢠⢃⠏⢆⠻⡢⡍⠆⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⣇⡌⡌⡰⠁⠀⡇⢃⢠⡆⡜⢸⠀⠈⢆⢡⢱⣸⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠁⡇⢠⠊⡥⠛⡜⢰⠙⢦⢝⡆⢸⢀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⡇⢣⠀⢇⢡⠀⢧⠸⡀⡎⡼⠀⣎⢸⡀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠸⠥⠔⠁⠀⣘⠀⡟⡸⢆⢻⡀⣁⠀⠈⠒⠤⠃⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠘⠧⡚⢰⠁⡌⠈⠑⠐⠃⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀UwU ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⣀...
Thought it would be cool to get because I love jellyfish and it was really cheap, so why not, yea? Probably the worst game I've ever played. The "tips" don't help, doesn't tell you the controls, how to play, or ANYTHING and all-in-all it's just really bad and lame. Graphics are weird and it lags for such a small game. I broke it TWICE within minutes apart, still can't get past early levels either because I have no idea what I am, what I'm doing and what the goal is, it seems to change every level. Do not recommend.
A good sequel to ''plankton'' and the art was beautiful . And there are only 2 this developer's games i can't reccomend ''flower design 2'' and ''yin yang space'' . This is last game of this developer i am reviewing all 9 will be reviewed of this developer after this review . And this game at times has a bit wacky and hard to control controls especially in level 6 protect the crab that's exactly why ''perfect fighter'' achievement was so hard and annoying for me to get and took me the longest . And second hardest to get was ''super hunter'' achievement as i couldn't figure out what you need to do there for so long . Oh and only 5 / 9 of this developer games count as perfect games and contribute to overall achievement score and only 6 / 9 of this developer's games even have achievements that's right ''i am a rock'' , ''flower design 2'' and lastly ''yin yang space'' has no achievements or trading cards . Perfect lover is 3 rd most annoying as you don't immediately understand how to mak...
Jellyfish is, well, when I saw it was from yet another Chinese dev with a qq email address, it's never a good sign, but I was surprised to see this is a somewhat sincerely made "game", such as it is. The game is a set of very simple arcade minigames meant to replicate various lifestages of a common jellyfish, heck, you might even learn something if you can be bothered to play this. Succeeding at each minigame helps your little jellyfish to mature, and that's fine, but at the same time the minigames are fairly shallow experiences. It's more fun observing the life stages of jellyfish than actually playing this. One important note is that even though this is an amateur project, it does seem to be sincerely and genuinely made. I couldn't find any flipped assets, plagiarism or any other kind of insincere actions from the developer, but unfortunately ethical behaviour and genuine intentions alone are not enough to produce a brilliant gaming experience. From a technical perspective, th...
I truly love this game to the infinity. I love how it depicts a story on how these amazing species first come to the universe, like us humans in comparison. Its like a legend. The developer has done a magnificent job on such a project to be brought to Steam, bringing such color, such amusement, and such amazing storytelling! I would totally recommend and gift to the many who love these gorgeous sea creatures!
No Options. No controls shown except a message at the beginning to use W, A, S, D to move. However, only A and D work to move you left and right to collect bubbles. You cannot move up and down and just randomly for no ryhme or reason you'll pop up or down with zero control over this. The description also says use WASD to control your creature and you are able to move freely. NOT the case at all! I've re-started this game three times and the controls never did work, and pressing every key on my keyboard, mouse whell and both mouse buttons did nothing. There is NO logical reason for moving up or down, and ZERO control over being able to freakin' move. ARGHHH! Frustrating as hell. Super AWKWARD. There's a TIP but it just says "Don't fall". WTH?! $1.59 to make me wanna pull my hair out?!? No thanks. 0 out of 10, thanks for the waste of 5 minutes of my life. Argh.
Pretty, but really really bad controls, and you won't get any achievements either, they don't work
A short but challenging game. Each level presents original puzzels with a rewarding feeling. The receptive developer, PanGuoJun, is there to correct any issues anyone finds.
