Does not work in Windows 10+, I had to play it in my Steam Deck. Game is a space themed shoot them up, there are tons of these and this game differentiates itself by being first person. It is an interesting concept but controls pretty much consist on left/right only and the shooting and the camera always facing forward, while enemies may also come from behind. Not well thought out. Mediocre gameplay and only playable in select OS is a fail in my books. 3/10

User Reviews
anoScape is a shallow 3D rendered 2D arcade style shoot 'em up/bullet hell game with a twist, you see your ship from behind rather than, you know, a playable, usable viewpoint. You don't have any camera controls behind moving the ship left or right with the mouse (which makes the screen tilt, I guess that's an "ok" effect and maybe the only "fun" thing the game has going for it... which is not a good sign at all). Being able to view your ship only from behind with no other camera controls makes it difficult to see enemies and incoming bullets, and just makes the game frustrating and annoying, should anyone try to play it seriously (spoiler: Almost nobody has). From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. The game features lazy low-polygon "retro" assets, making this look like a barely functional 3D game from the 1990s. It's unclear why the developers weren't able to arrange high quality, high polygon count...
