About This Game

Earth is dead. Only robots and you, a powerful AI, remain. Take control of a robot horde as you fight your way across a harsh and unforgiving landscape of forests and decayed cities. Grow your army from fallen enemies as you try to Escape Dead Earth!

Escape Dead Earth is a fast-paced, casual strategy game for Windows and Mac.

Starting with only a handful of weak robots, you must choose your battles carefully. Each robot you destroy can be reassembled and absorbed into your own army, growing your robot horde as you conquer your way across the map. But watch out, enemies get stronger, smarter, and more dangerous as you head towards your goal: a rocket that will take you far away from Earth.

Escape Dead Earth uses radically simple two-button mouse controls to keep you focused on fast-paced action.

VICE Magazine recommends Escape Dead Earth: "an RTS Where Deathballs Are the Only Tactic"! Read the full review here: .

Great, fun little game. 30-45 minutes long but I played it 3 times already. It's nice to just guide your little tsunami of robots around when you don't feel like thinking too much. Although once I spent 30 minutes in one spot farming bots and I made my death ball so big I broke the game, so don't do that I guess.

30 min, way too easy.

This game was released in February 2020... which means that this game came out before the pandemic started, which means that whoever made this game did so with the option of doing literally anything else. But at least they were right about predicting the following years. In that you start off as a small group and eventually turn into a large riot... you convert people to your cause by defeating them with brute force... your only sense of guidance and direction is whatever your cursor happens to be pointing at... your experience here is shorter than expected and nothing happens after you leave earth. Those are the parallels I came up on the spot, but I'm sure there is more. Like how halfway through you become mentally ill and bored at the same time. It’s actually an enjoyable experience, but this made me question the notion of what a game is… because to me this feels like a tutorial to something on a much bigger scale. And I think the fact I wanted more is saying something, I can ...

The game is pretty bare-bones, but what makes me refund it is, essentially, a game-breaking bug, that makes the camera pan out, when you have a big group of mobs and are moving fast, but never pans back in, making the game unplayable, since the player can't move around, because the camera doesn't follow them anymore. Otherwise, I am pretty happy with the concept. It requires a lot more work and the way you search for things and places to progress, without any indication, is not to my taste. Nevertheless, it reminds me of the flash games I played a long time ago. The price tag isn't outrageous, by any means, and I hope putting a price on this means the developer wishes to put the time in and improve. However, I am not willing to put the money down just yet, especially while I can't progress. TL:DR A supposed game-breaking bug, in a good concept of a game, that still needs to, and more importantly, can improve.
