Upcoming Roadmap

Please note that this roadmap highlights just some of the key additions coming to the game. Each update will also include a variety of new content, quality-of-life improvements, and bug fixes. As we progress, we’ll be diving deeper into each update to share more details with you.

About the Game

Join the chaos of war and be a part of the most iconic battles of WWII across the Eastern and Western Fronts as well as North Africa. Key battles include Carentan, Omaha Beach, Stalingrad, Kursk and more. Hell Let Loose drops you into the action, where you will have to fight across fields, bridges, forests, towns and more war-torn environments! Lumbering tanks will be dominating the battlefield and crucial supply chains fuelling the frontlines, you are essential to the colossal, combined arms warfare.

An Epic Theatre of War

Take to the battlefield in this squad-based, 50v50 multiplayer game, and choose one of our 14 roles available within the Command, Infantry, Recon and Armour unit types. Play as an Officer, Spotter, Medic, Tank Commander and more, to experience every aspect of World War II combat. Each role is equipped with different historical weapons, vehicles, and equipment that are intricately detailed, bringing the realism to the brutal and bloody warfare. Unit focussed gameplay is crucial and when done well can command the tide of battle.

Hardcore Gameplay

The combat takes place across huge, to-scale maps, recreated by utilising aerial and satellite imagery of real battle locations in stunning detail using Unreal Engine 4. These realistic battlefields are divided up into large capture sectors allowing emergent and constantly unique gameplay to evolve between the two forces of fifty players. Work as a team and make continual large scale, tactical decisions as to where to attack or defend.

Fight Together - Win Together

Hell Let Loose is not about kill to death ratios – teamwork is central to gameplay. Communication is essential. Players work together beneath the leadership of Officers and their Commander to take strategic targets on the battlefield and dominate the opposition. In Hell let loose, it’s always better to tackle things as a team. If you think you can handle the chaos of war, we’ll see you on the frontlines!

I really enjoyed this game for a while, but the community has become more and more elitist and toxic. I’ve seen how they treat new players, how they curse and blame each other for small mistakes, and I have no desire to be in that atmosphere in a team game based entirely on communication. Do NOT recommend this game. The community is NOT welcoming and you will be so frustrated trying to learn the ins and outs of what makes for a fun time. It is Brutally difficult and no one will take the time to teach you. Is that the experience you want for $50?

As long as you play with people who are are talking and taking the game seriously, it is one of the best WWII game on the market.

I've tried to come back to this game three times and I just can't anymore. I love the mechanics, the theme and the core gameplay. Less arcade nonsense and more focus on Squad-like tactics is exactly the kind of team based game that I want to play. However, after many years there are still basic core issues. The game demands officers and commanders yet its the worst experience. Objectives are so accessible that it feels like I'm playing against the Vietcong most games. Players would rather charge points rather than play defense, making "cap races" (two sides trying to capture points simultaneously) the norm. The game doesnt need new features. It needs a basic retool to the gaming loop. Maps need funnel points to force actual battle lines. Officer roles should be fought over, not avoided. There needs to be a basic retool of the basic gameplay loop.

W game, don't get discouraged at the start because you will get killed so many times without even seeing anyone. That still happens no matter how many hours someone has on the game, just keep joining games and acting like you would in real combat, like sticking to cover and following your squad leader, and you will get a lot better really quickly. This is probably the best ww2 game out there, worth the money.

Great game that I am terrible at. At least when I die in the game more often than not the lesson learned is to go slower and play better. I was outsmarted and not dolphin dived and bunny hopped on.

Hell Let Loose is my favorite game of all time. There is nothing like an FPS WWII strategy game that exists. Yes, this game is very difficult in the beginning - and yes there will be a lot of running. You may even get shot from the heavens. But all of that goes away once you play more. You'll get into a bad game where no one on your team redeploys in offensive or no one is placing garrisons down in warfare. But then you'll be in a trench with 20 fellow soldiers chucking grenades with tanks, airstrikes, and artillery going off as you capture the point in overtime and you see why this game is great. And while that is going on you will hear someone in prox chat yelling, "my leg." This game definitely isn't for everyone, but give it a chance.

great game. horrible community and servers that you wait 10-15 minutes to get into, wait 30-40 seconds to spawn, maybe 2 minutes to get into a position you like and die by someone in a different postal code using iron sights if you value your time dont play this. its not like how the teasers show it and youll be level locked on almost every server you join, i tried playing support, machine gunner, tanker, and id say sniper is the best class because you dont have to be 3 inches from the 4k monitor you have to have any chance to see anybody if you value your money i wouldnt even get it on sale, the effort put into learning the role playing and playing the sit and wait game is exponentially more then learning the basic combat, flanks, class abilities, tank mechanics etc. i applaud the newcomer friendly servers. just kidding, there are none. go play battlefield 6 when it releases

Team 17 destroyed what was once a good game, loaded with bugs that are as old as the game with no fixes, just adding useless content and constantly changing game mechanics, making the game less and less appealing. Whats next HLL mobile?
