About This Game

Once in a very distant colored galaxy a hero was born, who was not like the others. At a time when all the surrounding creatures were of one particular color, our protagonist was immediately of all colors at once. Because of it, he was subjected to the worst that was in this world – colorism. For many years Willie The Wheel was chased by everyone, he had no work, no family, no friends. Life drove him to the dead end, and at that moment he met a stranger – he was just like Willie, unlike the others, but unlike Willie, who represented all the colors at once, his new acquaintance didn’t have any color at all. He handed Willie a leaflet with an invitation to an incredible place where our hero could prove to everyone his importance and strength – Neon Coliseum.

Take control of our incredible hero! Use your uniqueness and create color lasers to destroy enemies, but don’t forget that you have to run after the cartridge after discharge. Test your skills and try to score as many points as possible, but the more you destroy the enemies, the more is your fame, and hence more hunters will come to your soul.

Neon Coliseum is yet another of literally thousands of 2D retro platformers infesting Steam and lowering the average quality of all video games everywhere. This one doesn't seem like any kind of asset flip, it even has a fairly unique mechanic where you jump around but can also "draw a line" of a specific colour. Why? This line will destroy matching enemies of the same colour as they drift across the screen. Is this fun? No. Is there any reason to want to do this? No. It's not 1981 anymore. People are not interested in games with about the same level of depth as Pac-Man. The game is very simplistic, small and limited in scope and ambition. This feels more like a tech demo, proof of concept or student homework assignment rather than a fully fledged product designed for PC gamers. As such it doesn't offer any real value as a serious PC game. From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. There's no opti...

Neon Coliseum is an Action game where you have to destroy enemies of the same colour by making a line that gets shorter and shorter. I love the idea and it's quite unique. The reason for my negative review is that it's simply too fast and way too difficult. Also, the achievements have no descriptions and I have a feeling some of them are broken. For example I have killed a few homing enemies and yet the stats page shows "0 killed" and the achievement hasn't popped. Other negatives: - You lose your streak when you press escape - It's not possible to take screenshots in game
