Neon Coliseum

Neon Coliseum is yet another of literally thousands of 2D retro platformers infesting Steam and lowering the average quality of all video games everywhere. This one doesn't seem like any kind of asset flip, it even has a fairly unique mechanic where you jump around but can also "draw a line" of a specific colour. Why? This line will destroy matching enemies of the same colour as they drift across the screen. Is this fun? No. Is there any reason to want to do this? No. It's not 1981 anymore. People are not interested in games with about the same level of depth as Pac-Man. The game is very simplistic, small and limited in scope and ambition. This feels more like a tech demo, proof of concept or student homework assignment rather than a fully fledged product designed for PC gamers. [b]Neon Coliseum[/b] is an Action game where you have to destroy enemies of the same colour by making a line that gets shorter and shorter. I love the idea and it's quite unique. The reason for my negative review is that it's simply too fast and way too difficult. Also, the achievements have no descriptions and I have a feeling some of them are broken. For example I have killed a few homing enemies and yet the stats page shows "0 killed" and the achievement hasn't popped.
