About This Game

When she was a young girl, Nekohime dreamt of being a video game developer. Now in her early twenties, she’s abandoned that dream to focus on her uninspiring job as a computer repair technician. There’s not enough time in the day to focus on game development – and anyway, isn’t she too old to entertain such unrealistic notions?
That is, until her childhood friend, Clover, introduces her to the seductive Suki.
Suki is determined to turn Nekohime’s dream into a reality and finally develop a game – and she refuses to let Nekohime’s self-doubt stop her. Whether she wants to or not, Nekohime’s pulled into a brand new world, alongside these two bubbly, optimistic girls.
Will they be able to make a hit game together, or will it all be for nought? And, in the end, will Nekohime manage to find true love?

The unwilling heroine of the story. Her real name is ‘Sayo’, but her friends refer to her by her internet handle - much to her embarrassment.
Though she dislikes being referred to by a silly nickname she made up on the spot when she was a kid, she exhibits a lot of catlike traits. She’s always seen in her cat-eared jacket, she likes taking naps, and she can be rather ‘catty’.
She lacks purpose in life, and is bored by her tedious, unrewarding job. Maybe making a video game is exactly the kind of diversion she needs.

One of Nekohime’s closest friends. Her real name is Chika.
Though she loves revealing cosplay and dressing in tightly-fitting spandex, she’s actually an elementary school teacher. She’s warm, cheerful, bubbly, and loves playing around with finger paints, which makes her a surprisingly good fit for her job (and no, she doesn’t dress quite so outlandishly when she’s at work).
Being creative, she enjoys experimenting in the kitchen and composing music. She nominates herself as the composer for her video game venture.

A mischievous, vixen-like girl from Nekohime’s past, infamous for encouraging her elderly grandmother to feed her laptop’s D-Drive rice for a ‘Shinto purification ceremony’.
Suki flirts with almost everyone, to such an extent it’s hard to tell whether she really means it. She also enjoys teasing people – particularly uptight people like Nekohime who get flustered easily.
She grew up in a shrine, but is worlds apart from the image of a ‘traditional Japanese beauty’. She can be loud and obnoxious and incredibly pushy, but she’ll apologize when she realizes she’s gone too far.
She’s also a competent digital artist, who spent a large portion of her life drawing and uploading her pictures online. After all, there’s not much else to do at a shrine.
Features:
- small choices affect the ending, three endings are available in total
- play the game in Chinese, just change the language in the options

Y'know, I bought this game for the same reason everyone else did, having already played all the other Sakura games and plenty of other ecchi visual novels, most of which expectedly contained pretty basic, lackluster storytelling and writing with just a bunch of cliched scenes and generic fluff in between the saucy CGs, and they do the job just fine, of course, but this visual novel is a massive improvement in writing quality that is a breath of fresh air. Now, I'm a writing and literature major myself who values a good narrative, but I understand that erogames don't exactly need to have a strong focus on quality writing beyond making sure the grammar is accurate and there's no typos, so I wasn't expecting anything special going into this. To my suprise, the change in writer (I believe the writing of this game is named "waffle" or something like that) made a big difference right away, and a lot of the inner monologue and dialogue is far more engaging and charmful. Just the plain improve...
This company is so much scum. They've mistreated budding voice actors, partners, and artists (particularly their main artist Wanaca). See here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xlh8e201lI0
dear god.. they went and made another one.. I, as a not-so-proud owner of every sakura game on steam have written depressingly thought-out reviews about each game and the time has come to write another. here goes.. this game has an assload of pandering to VN readers. especially people who have played the other sakura games. duh. just thought I'd get that out of the way. So as far as this one is compared to the other games, From what I can tell its a good improvement over many of the titles. disclaimer: I am playing the uncensored version! after multiple successive nude scenes, it dives into a story where the three characters are hashing together a rushed project game thats going to be a visual novel with lots of lewd. this must be what the people at winged cloud are like. The game has some of the most funny dialouge out of the series in my opinion. this one, unlike the other titles in the series is loaded with loads of little easter eggs from the other sakura titles and is intenti...
This game was surely one of the few that will leave an impact on a man/woman's life this holiday season. The sakura series of VN's always had a way with interacting with the play that made you feel like you are part of their world. Sakura gamer is no exception. This captures the essence of my day to day life dealing with stress, video games, computer repair, and most importantly anime. I cannot begin to describe the moment your character declared she was a computer repair technician, I nearly fainted due to the intensity of this situation. The characters taught valuable life lessons through the game as there's more to life than work and repetitive tasks. You can explore new worlds and try different things. I've learned to expand my horizons in regards to meeting new people. I really learned the value of friendship and just how far you can go before you reach the limit and realize, life is an experience. I truly loved this game, 10/10 best 30 minutes of masturbation I once had.
The whole game basically shames you for playing a softcore porn game. Like I just wanna see some anime tiddies, I don't need to be told how stupid I am for paying $8 for it.
Liked

Free patch (^_-)
A few alternate paths and endings.
So much meta.
Music was alright.
Easy achievements.

Disliked

No cards :(

Other Thoughts
Learned some things about how VN’s are made.
if you like awkardly staring at an anime girls ass for like 30 minutes at a time while reading dialogue then this game is for you
This is quite a good yuri game. Nekohime is kawaiii..
だけど!!!

BUT!!!
... The story is too short to show off more cuteness of Nekohime..! Why decide such nice waifu but dont give more time to herrrrrrr ლ(ಥ益ಥლ) 12/10 not enough Nekohime ✓ 12/10 want to pat more Nekohime ✓ 12/10 will lose more steam friend ✓
So I like a lot of Sakura's line of games. And I'm more than sure that there will be a LOT of people who like this one too. Do you want anime tiddies? Do you want anime tiddies on more anime tiddies with a gamer girl nya~ aesthetic? Then enjoy the art If you want a story attached to it? That's a bit less so. It certainly has a word count, but as far as quality or substance, it's lacking. It likes to do a lot of detailed game dev talk, so much so that I'm sure that it's probably what makes the word count honestly. It also has it's tongue in cheek gaming references. But besides that, it's slow paced, and the "events" aren't worth slogging through the text for. It got to be so much that I ended up skimming through the whole text, finished the game/story and all routes, and if you took out the parts I skipped you could still tell what the story or the relationships were about. It's not good, and it's not bad, but I wouldn't recommend it to any of my friends. Then again, they expect mo...
