About This Game

Drumming Reimagined For Virtual Reality

Explore and expand your percussion skills with the power of virtual reality! Paradiddle is a realistic, responsive drum kit built for VR that lets you hone your drumming skills without driving the neighbours crazy.

Learn, play and share!

Play through the ten beginner lessons to learn the ropes, then flex your drumming skills using the built-in rhythm game mode. Each song in rhythm game mode has multiple difficulty settings, providing a challenge for newcomers and pros alike. With the new multiplayer features you can even perform for your friends in freeplay, or compete to get the high score playing the built-in songs!

All The Noise, None of the Racket!

Drag and drop drums from your palette and create a custom setup that works for you. Save custom sets and load up your favourites whenever you want, choosing from a library of 50+ percussion instruments - glockenspiel, xylophone, and more! The instruments in Paradiddle let out realistic sounds depending on where and how hard you hit them, making it the perfect tool for learning or honing your skills.

Full Feature List

 • Learn to drum in the comfort of your own home - all the fun, with none of the racket!
 • Create and customise your own custom drum kit from a library of 50+ percussive instruments, from mallet instruments like the xylophone and glockenspiel, to auxiliary percussion such as bongos, tambourines and timpanis.
 • Flex your skills in rhythm game mode: adjustable difficulty for 30 different songs, plus custom song support and cross-platform leaderboards!
 • Pick up the basics with 10 beginner-friendly lessons, perfect for drumming newcomers!
 • Load your own songs, audio files and sheet music. You can even record and share your songs with the Paradiddle community!
 • Use the new multiplayer feature to perform for your friends in freeplay, or compete to get the high score playing the built-in songs!
 • 4 different environments to play in: Dojo, Jazz Club, Galaxy, Void.
 • MIDI input/output support. MIDI devices (such as electronic drum pedals) can be integrated into Paradiddle to trigger any drums within the environment. Likewise, Paradiddle can also send MIDI output, which means you can use the app to trigger your own samples in your favorite digital audio workstation. This transforms Paradiddle into an extremely powerful audio creation tool.
 • Peripheral support for kick and hi-hat. Any USB peripheral that can emulate keyboard input (such as USB pedals) can be used in Paradiddle as a way to trigger the kick drum or control the hi-hat.
 • ASIO Support. Audio enthusiasts that want maximum customization of their audio settings can switch their output device to ASIO. By default, the app uses WASAPI, and a lot of time was spent to ensure that the latency was kept to a minimum with the default settings.
 • Customise settings like pitch and max volume for each individual drum. These settings will expand in the future to give users greater control over the sound that comes out of their drums.

I played drums as a kid but haven't owned a trap set in decades at this point. I'm not really out to rekindle my financial affair with percussion (I already have an electronics lab and a piano, lord knows my wallet can't take much more), so I looked up a drum kit for VR. Turns out, Paradiddle gets me really close to that feeling of being in the groove with a band that I've definitely missed. Just wish there was an easier way to load tracks, but that's been a problem for any music-based game or app since the dawn of the internet. Thank you for making this :)

After just one hour with this title I can definitely say that I will be returning on a regular basis to drum. I have always been a rock and roll fan, Rush, Queen, Led, Metallica, TOOL, the works. To be able to drum to my favourite songs in this game without it being to gimmicky is a true blessing, and it genuinely feels a lot better than a majority of the drumming games I have played previously in VR. While the price is a tad over what it should be, I think it is a decent investment for your own fun. If you want to drum without waking the entire family or getting kicked out of the house, this should do the trick.

This is an incredibly underrated VR game. Not only is it a great tutorial for how to play drums, but it also has a nice variety of songs and they make it easy to add custom songs. Sometimes simple is deceptively hard to do, and this game has nailed simple in an extremely effective way. I see the complaints about the kick drum and tbh I genuinely have no idea how you would fix that in VR. luckily they have an auto kick setting so I turned that on and just act out the kick like usual. I also appreciate that when you screw up you don't just fail the song- you're able to catch yourself and keep going.

Running Paradiddle on Quest 2 is very jittery. from what i have seen this has been an ongoing issue for years, i even found reddit posts from 3+ years ago reporting the same thing. the common advice is to turn graphics settings down. that does help a little, and turning particles off makes a slight difference too, but even with everything set as low as possible the jitter is still bad enough to give me a headache after just a few minutes of play. the concept of this game is excellent, its exactly what i have been looking for, but in practice it just does not seem to run smoothly on my headset. im not sure what kind of equipment is required to play this comfortably. from what i have read, quest 3 users are also running into the same issue, so it does not seem limited to quest 2. i have tested multiple maps and songs, and the jitter is always there. i also think the game would really benefit from something like vrchat video players, being able to pull up tutorials or watch someone els...
