Plays pretty much exactly the same as the second game with slightly reshuffled abilities regarding tool use, but this time also with a major lean into action. Ends up feeling too hastily put together, and thus rather disappointing. The game's action focus is not at all complemented by its control scheme - the squad still take forever to bring their guns to bear, meaning they are still much more effective at setting up ambushes, as opposed to active assaults. As if that wasn't enough, some user interface elements have been simplified for the worse - in stark contrast to the previous game, it appears there are no hot-keys for certain actions which makes inputs take longer than what players familiar with the series might be used to. In addition, this installment has been stripped of all the charming detail present in the previous title.
