About the Game

In the great north lies the city of Serina. It is beautiful city, with a dark secret. For years, two witches have terrorized the city and taken over the castle within, with their dark magics. All attempts to slay them has failed. Only a true hero can answer the call of the people and stop the witches, once and for all. Then one day, a traveler arrives at the inn. Could they succeed where others have failed?

Characters

Gracie

Gracie is the mage. She's a good, kind girl who comes to help the people of Clearmill out of goodness of her heart. She's somewhat shy and innocent which is a total contrast to her friend follower, Edea.

Seraphine

Seraphine is a German warrior princess who's adventurer with her sidekick. She's somewhat serious but still a nice girl. She's the only character who can wear even the heaviest of armors.

Maiya

Maiya is a cheeky rogue girl, out to get fame and money. Unlike the other two main characters where the follower provides humor for the serious characters, Maiya herself is the joking type while her friend is more serious. Maiya is the hardest character to play but very rewarding once she gets going.

Minor characters

Edea

Edea is an elf fighter, but everyone just calls her Beans because she likes beans.

Francine

Francine is an adept magician who helps Seraphine. She has a crush on the German girl and tries her best to learn German to make her happy but sometimes mixes up words.

Sophie

Sophie is a serious fighter girl who's very protective of Maiya and loves her like little sister.

Strangers of the Power is a very short (about 90 minutes, including the bonus floor from the DLC) JRPG that consists of a single town with a dungeon beneath it. It's not terrible, but the entire game here would just be a single quest in most full-length games, leaving it rather pointless. The only thing that really gives it any length is that you can play through three (or four, with the DLC) times, once with each duo of girls. The custom art for the girls and some of the monsters is probably the strong point, but otherwise it's pretty much a generic dungeon crawl in a single dungeon, with characters who tend to act very, very silly. A notable funny point is the "difficulty ratings" the dev gives - Seraphine, the "beginner" character, probably has the most trouble later on due to being incapable of doing damage effectively, while the "advanced" Maiya is easily the most powerful character and has no problems blowing through the game. (The "average" Gracie and "very advanced" Chandra ar...

This is a very average RPG Maker game that is rather short. Basically it consist of killing a bunch of monsters and 3 bosses in a 5 level dungeon (Castle). To get all the achievements, you have to play the game 3 times with your main character as a Warrior, Mage and Rogue. However all 3 times are extremely similar because you are given a 2 member team (main character and secondary character), which basically consist of a TANK and a CASTER for all 3 playthrough. There is really not enough differences. This game is kind of at the borderline between recommend and not recommend. It's a hard decision for me. However, since steam only allow 2 choices, I would go with recommend due to its low price. It's just a relaxing way to spend a boring evening with $1.

*edit after another 3.5 hours of game play* Well...advance mode is HARD, but in a lame way. Thief could be a weak mage or a weak warrior. Neither DPS or hp is good enough. She got two special skills. Flare causes blind, but monsters still hit me every turn. Steal has extremely low success rate. It might be easier just kill the monsters. So yeah, thief is useless. that's why she is "advance mode." In the end, had some fun time, but I don't think I enjoy all the way. Storyline differs so little I almost believe both mage and thief are extra add-ons. Gameplay is too "OK" so it's hard to recommend it. All I could say is...it is only 2$. *original review* This game is SHORT, like only 2 hours include grinding, for the warrior(blonde hair girl). All the characters you pick are fundamentally the same: a tank pairs a mage. The warrior has most hp. The mage has lots of spells. The thief has steal, which is likely to let you spend less time on looting (could be useful for mimics b...

Dagarn it, I'm still counting this as being beat on the 24th! So this will be my 4th review for that day! Since I fell asleep right after beating the final boss... But this is actually a neat idea for an rpg they use a lot of custom artwork for character models. And there's 4 seperate stories which are very similar but have completely different levels of difficulty. And you have to adjust your playstyle accordingly. Each storyline is relatively short and doesn't require a whole lot of grinding, thus beating all 4 might take say 8 hours total? Which for a game of this price (especially on sale!) Is well worth your money, I highly recommend!

This game is promising, but unfortunately I cannot give a positive opinion. This game is only available in English, a simple Google translation will win players. The use of the "Esc" key would be a good point to pass the texts. The use of "0" to erase the text of the nicknames, is not practical. After 10 minutes of playing, I didn't feel like playing anymore. Notice to the developer, the base is good, but the dress is not seller.

I just can't play this game, everytime i get an different crash, "TypeError: cannot read property 'undefined' of undefined", or "TypeError: cannot read property 'RPG-Theme' of undefined" and it just keeps crashing, i'm really trying to play this thing, but it just doesn't want to be played. I somehow managed to get to Elvira, but if i try to go back to town, gear up and grind some levels, bang, another crash, it's completely unplayable and i'm really tired of retrying over and over again.

Cute fun short game, not a normal rpg quest. Instead its more of diablo-like game where you pick your starting characters and have to delve into a common dungeon. Each route has a different playstyle due to the restricted class weapons/spells you can use. Overall its a fun game if you are in the mood for some older style rpg with kawaii anime girls.

Good game! For those that have played Tuomo's other games, this is a very big improvement over them in terms of general game design, balance, art, sound and writing. I noticed that most of the effects and art in the game are custom made and look great. I wish it was longer though per play through. I would pay more if there was an additional dungeon or act to play through.

This is a beautiful game. The sprites are nice, the characters are cute, and the combat is amusing. There are three difficulty modes, dependant on which character you take through the game. The warrior is the easy/beginner mode. The mage is average. And the rogue is advanced. Each gains a unique follower, to assist/protect them on their journey to rid the town of two evil (or simply bored) witches. For its low price, it is a great game. Heck, aspects of it are better than some games much pricier...
