Short atmospheric 2D puzzle platformer with story that revolves around loss, grief and acceptance. The gameplay isn't something to write home about but the gorgeous visuals make up for it.

absolutely gorgeous game. the art. the music. everything's so beautiful. short and sweet. very emotional at times. made me cry twice ;_; gameplay is very inclusive and casual. puzzles are generally easy but it never gets boring. besides its so cheap honestly it's a steal. go for it! i got the vibe that it's about grief and overcoming your rage over what youve lost. making peace with it and pulling yourself together. slowly picking up the pieces together. literally. reconstructing the statue. becoming whole. that moment where the sneak(darkness within) is chasing you and almost devours you and then the turtle(the light) saves you was so peak. it's a journey of healing. it's so wonderful. so unique ^.^ it's pure art. it's timeless, there's no dialogue at all no language barrier it's universal. it'll make different people feel different emotions cos it's purposely a bit vague and yet somehow find it relatable cos we all experience loss.. and you will. feel. a lot. it's an emotional rol...
Very mid and overhyped imo The game looks good and has some meaning if you like watching youtube videos about it.. Unfortunately thats not good enough to make the experience enjoyable I get that the game is "relaxing" but it shouldnt be to the point of being a snoozefest
GRIS is more than a game—it’s a moving, living piece of art. From the first frame, you’re immersed in a world painted with breathtaking watercolor landscapes, where every color, shadow, and ripple of movement tells a story. The game’s narrative unfolds without words, yet its emotions are undeniable. Following Gris through her journey of grief and healing, you feel the weight of loss and the fragile beauty of hope with each step. The progression of color mirrors her emotional journey, and by the end, the experience lingers in a way few games can. The music is hauntingly beautiful, perfectly blending with the visuals to create an emotional soundscape that stays with you long after you stop playing. Gameplay is elegant and intuitive, focusing on exploration and subtle puzzles, allowing the art and story to take center stage. GRIS is serene, poetic, and unforgettable—a rare gem that proves games can touch the soul as profoundly as any other art form.
Beautiful game but I've hit a game-breaking bug and I cannot progress - it appears I'm not the only one. I loved what I could play, but can't recommend this currently. Hoping a fix emerges at some point.
Even though I haven’t played that long, I quite like the game. The soundtrack really fits the scenes, and the art style is beautiful. While some of the challenges need a little bit of thinking they’re never too hard (at least from what I’ve seen). All in all it was a good purchase :)
The best Game of my life, beatiful arts, perfect soundtrack, and an emotional environment. 10000/10
What an absolutely beautiful game. Go through the journey of grief, discovery and acceptance along a wonderful soundtrack and find your voice. I loved this game.
Its visuals are stunning. Story telling is too abstract for me to really connect and become interested. Gameplay is watching a beautiful movie if the film stopped 5-10 minutes every time there's a puzzle. I feel like with puzzles there's no understanding whatsoever of what is walkable and where to go so I end up losing time and the chill, contemplative feeling goes completely away to let frustration in. Not for me for these specific reasons. Wouldn't recommend.
I want to like this game, but I struggle to. The pace it moves at is so slow, walking is slow, exploration is slow, you encounter so many moments that are about waiting for the correct timing, and your first upgrade is the ability to ground pound and stay still. I'm sure that's inline with the tone of the game, but it feels like where this artistic game ends up is more art than game.
