I was forewarned by other reviewers coming into WTAE and even having my expectations tempered by that still left me in a position of disappointment after playing the game. I barely made it past the first few hours before thinking "is this it?". The graphics don't quite give away the game's datedness at first. The character models and buildings look okay but it's not exactly next-gen mind-blowing. Past these, the game really lets itself down with bland, generic, copy-n-pasted enemies and buildings. Many of these buildings have rooms that are clinical and hard to distinguish, becoming very repetitive, very quickly. Unfortunately I can't say the gameplay is where it shines; the exact same problems hold it back. It plays more like it was made ten years ago. You basically proceed through the levels via stealth or combat to push a button and open a door. The stealth however is banal and not implemented well. I also discovered that it is optional and you can brute force your way through the l...

Mindless simple fun. Buy on sale. Turn off the brain. Have a great time.
So I really wanted to love this game. I mean finally WOD game with werewolf, and seeing the reviews I've got it absurdally cheap. The gameplay is janky and the fights itself are... Think of first prototype but you have only 2-3 attacks. Cannot really select where you aim and you are way to big for the rooms. But the story is the worst part. (minor spoiler ahead as it tutorial mission) Become Caleb, powerful werewolf who starts with his wife and teenage daughter. Both of which he loves so dearly. And his pack full of long time friends. And when his wife dies (painfully obvious from the very beginning of the game) our brave caleb... Decides to abbandon all of them like a little *****. And then 5 fricking years later he emerges like nothing happens telling bs like "I never turn back on you". Yeah... and now go have fun playing as this succker.
good story not bad gameplay
After playing a few hours and getting about halfway through this game, I asked my housemate if I should finish it or not. I then realised that the fact that I needed someone to encourage me to keep playing it already gave me my answer. I bought this game on a 90% sale for $4 and I can honestly say I got my money's worth. Boy oh boy am I glad I didn't shell out full price for it. This game feels like the devs laid out all the basic framework, figured out how everything was going to work, then said "eh this is good enough" and released it. Does the game work? Yes. Is it fun to play? No. I could say the graphics are ok - if the game was released 20 years ago. This was made not even 5 years ago? Every time I launched it I had flashbacks to Half Life and Deus Ex, and not in a good way. The story is utterly atrocious, it isn't interesting or engaging, and it basically revolves around characters talking at each other and saying "this happened! Now this will happen! This is a thing...
the werewolf design is cool but this is like the Bollywood of gaming. cheese on extra cheese on more cheese is how i can describe the story. the gameplay is not satisfying with the terrible camera. and for the dialogue my brain fails to describe it. good music tho!
A game where you play as a werewolf? Yes please.
This game does not make too bad a of a stealth game, but the combat has the early XBox 360 stiffness that leaves it feeling dry an empty, as does the plot and the characters. The MC some how manages to have less depth of character than Mathew McConaughey playing Van Zan in Reign of Fire. Edit: After beating the game and realizing there are 2 endings and you have to replay the entire final level to see the other one, I came to the realization that this game is just to shit to play any single level.
Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Earthblood is an action RPG developed by Cyanide Studio and based on the rich and complex World of Darkness universe. It presents players with a gritty narrative about rage, environmental destruction, and the struggle between humanity and nature, wrapped in a dark fantasy setting where you take on the role of Cahal, a Garou werewolf fighting against a corrupt corporation destroying the natural world. While the game ambitiously attempts to merge stealth, combat, and storytelling, it delivers a mixed experience that is often praised for its lore and atmosphere but criticized for repetitive gameplay and technical shortcomings. At its core, Earthblood thrives on its narrative and setting. The story delves deep into themes of ecological devastation, spiritual conflict, and personal redemption, giving players a strong emotional throughline. Cahal’s journey is fraught with moral complexity, reflecting the Garou’s eternal battle to protect Gaia from the malevo...
