As the title suggests this is a sequel to the first Battle Chess, only this one uses a Chinese chessboard. And Chinese figures. As I am not as familiar with this gameboard and how you play it, it is a little more frustrating for me. Probably should buy on sale, but for those who loved it back then, and are willing to deal with the old graphics, recommended.

The first evolution of Chess since the Persian Empire!
Just like I remember! Fun to play, and has the option of using the 3D or 2D board. The game does in fact have a quick and easy Manual (under "Move"-"Online Manual") that tells you how the settings work AND how to play. You just have to, from what I can tell, hold the right mouse button to access the menu options and place your mouse over the option you want to select (while still holding the right mouse button) and release and it selects it. That aside, it seems like a fun and challenging game. I recommend it.
Wanted to like it but it turns out to be buggy. The game hanged up often because of the programming. I played it twice and both times it was interrupted by error message and I was forced to quit. No help. The rules are correct most of the time but the rule of not allowing king facing king is not enforced. Bought it as I didn't buy it back in 1990 as I love its prequel of the western chess version. I hope someone can come up to fix the programming bugs before it would have been released in Steam. Apparently not. Not worthy of the effort to own it even for nostalgia sake.
