+Prank your friend in VR +Lots of "Mini-Games" All with the purpose of terrifying your friends +Entertaining for a group -Not really that great -Gets boring after one or two jokes -Some of the games don't work properly -Feels a little cheaply made 2.5/5 This would be a Neutral Review If it could be. Although it makes for a fun time with friends and family, this "Game" is really just an application to prank your friends and probably break your headset. It's fun, quirky, and interesting. However I can't fully recommend it as it feels cheap, and gets boring quick when you know that every one of these "experiences" are made for freaking you/someone you're with out. I can't recommend it, especially for $20. I watched a few tricks and was frankly underwhelmed (see what I did there?). I expected a bit more magic tricks and a bit more interactivity. Instead we get "ask your friend to put down their vr controller, swap it with something disgusting and then ask them to pick it back up [guffaw]". Refunded.
Might be worth getting on sale if you’re a fan of Penn & Teller and want to hear some of their banter. But the game itself is rather dated at this point, and some of the tricks may not land as well as they may have previously. Besides, doing anything to interfere with someone while they are wearing a vr headset is just a BAD idea and very mean spirited. Should not be done even as a joke. So for that I double not recommend.
Very well done for what it is. If you want to get the most out of this game you will need to play it with another person. You become the snarky comedian magician, playing tricks on your "chump". There is actually a lot of content if you want to play it in this way. But what if you don't want to take the time to learn the tricks? No worries. There are 10+ mini-games in here that are fun to play and have some humor and surprises. They are in the "bits" section under "chump's view". There may be more single-player content I haven't noticed. So, if you want to play local multiplayer, and learn all the tricks, the price is fair, but it is expensive if you are only going to play single player. In that case I would recommend waiting for a sale.
A prank-on your-friends type of game that uses the power of VR to push it to the next level, all accompanied with the infamous behind-the-scenes magicians Penn Gillette and Teller! The game will tell you a bunch of pranks that you can pull on your "Chump" friends who are unaware! Just make sure they aren't in on it of course. And also make sure you have some friends nearby to mess around with, or I'd say the game isn't worth it at its price.
For a game designed to trick your friends, there is a good amount of stuff you can do singleplayer. I suggest letting people forget you have it before mentioning it to them.
Game didn't launch. Fatal error. No support or guides that I could find. Refunded.
It is cool, the minigames are mostly fun.
