About This Game
In this game you play as one of the members of an elite team - TrashSquad, waste disposal specialists. Your mission is to stop an army of waste from a nearby dump, who have started to threaten residents of the city.
Main features:
- Randomly generated levels using six separate scenery settings.
- Multiple weapons: rifles, shotguns, lasers, swords, rocket launchers, bombs, grenades and much more. You can fight in either close or distance combat.
- Hordes of dangerous enemies. Because the game action game takes place on the dump you will face weird monsters like old shoes, worn tires, rotten fruit, toilet bowls, bulbs and many more.
- Ten playable characters. At the beginning you can choose from two characters, but you can unlock the others as you progress in the game.
- Several game modes. When you become familiar with the game it's good to play at higher difficulty levels to test your skills.
- Character development. When you reach the next experience level, you can increase your hero's statistics and acquire powerful skills.
- Magic items. While playing, you can find, buy or unlock many useful items that can help you in your fight against the monsters.
- Mercenaries and pets. You don't have to be alone in the battle against your enemies. Recruit mercenaries, who will fight on your side. There are also magic pets, with useful abilities, if you can find them they will gladly join your team.

Super silly kinda rogue like shooter game with tons of stuff to unlock, amusing characters and enemy types, and a really goofy art style. It's simple but fun and a great cheap score!
After some problems trying to run the game in linux, the developer contacted me directly and fixed the issues with the following param: Right-click on Trash Squad under the Library in Steam and select Properties. Under the General tab click the Set launch options... button. Paste there this line below: -screen-fullscreen 0 -screen-height 720 -screen-width 1280
top down shooter, which I love, but there is so save feature, so you have to finish it in a single play through.
It's very clearly a Nuclear Throne clone and at this point isn't quite as polished BUT, it actually manages to add some unique twists with all sorts of play modes and character configuration options. Hoping for some controller support in the future.
This is just too rough around the edges to get a thumbs up. It is a very pedestrian and completely soulless re-skinning of Razenroth (which is a game I actually do recommend). But this game has WAY too many different controls, the maps are cramped and the foes wander aimlessly with no sense of AI. They just pick a random direction every second or so then run that way. So basically they are just running willy-nilly. Killing foes isn't really skill-based, you just tediously stand there firing until enough of your bullets randomly hit enemies. I'm super disappointed in this game. There is no way that the aggregate score is legitimate, they have to be paid or botted reviews. If you don't believe me, go look at the positive reviews and notice that nearly all of them have 0.1-0.2 hours playtime which is about 6-10 minutes... juuuuust enough to let Steam allow you to write a review. This, ironically, is a trash game, literally.
A very good indie shooter. (Little bro of Nuclear Throne) I believe it is a must have for the ones who likes this genre. I got it while it have a 90% discount. Had fun for ~5 hours. I believe i will put lots of more time in this game. If we consider it as a low budget game made by just one person it can easily take a 8/10.
Got this for my kids, both of them have put about 10 hours in. Its a sort of Nuclear Throne successor with updated graphics and flavor. It has many game modes and lots of unlockables for the completionist in us all. After watching them spend hours on it I had to buy it for myself, I was like "I wanna kill trash too!!" and was sparta kicked from my children's bedroom. I refuse to be excluded!! Multiplayer would be a good future addition.
The best 39p I've spent this week.
I REALLY like this game. Have gifted it to friends. The best 5 dollars i have ever spent. Countless hours of doing runs, getting unlockables, and a great way to spend time. 10/10 I dont understand how this game has little players. This game is a good challenge. Big fan of Razenroth as well.
