About This Game

Torn Familjen tells the story of Cathrin, a student of magic whose abundant generosity ends up getting her in big trouble...

She must set off on a journey that ends up taking her to all sorts of places, in order to find some way to atone for her mistake. Along the way, she will make new friends, and new enemies, too. Fortunately, there's no shortage of fighting skill amongst the group she ends up assembling.

((Please note that while flashing lights have been kept to a minimum, some mild screen flashes were simply impossible to remove. Players with photosensitive epilepsy or similar conditions should exercise caution, and are recommended to keep the game screen at its default small size, just to be safe.))

well, it's definitely an rpg maker game alright pros: pretty okay battle system. i played through a part of the game on hard difficulty, and it sure tests your strategy all right. while difficult, i wouldn't say it's unfair cons: confusing mechanics. no idea what status effects like wind icon, rock icon, and monster icon do. i may of missed a list of status ailments/effects, but not even the readme that came with the game said anything about debuffs pricing. i feel rpg maker games shouldn't be priced to begin with unless most of their assets are made from the ground up. a game like lisa barely passes that line with pretty obvious yanfly plugins though is still a fun experience with good writing, artstyle, gameplay etc. a game like omori meanwhile is well worth its price owing to how much was put into that game overall, if this game was free, i'd recommend it if you were moderately interested. otherwise, i wouldn't really bother picking it up. it's a little fun, but i'd reckon there a...
