Samurai Rampage is a cool score attack / wave survival game done in a 2D format with unique pixelated graphics and a variety of enemy types that you must evade, parry, and annihilate throughout a handful of feudal settings. Enemies explode sprays of blood or their skeletons electrocute and disintegrate as you mow them down. As cool as all of that looks, sounds, and can be, from a gameplay perspective the game is very simple. You spend most (well, pretty much all) of your time in Samurai Rampage clearing either a ground level or flying set of enemies from left to right in 3 panoramic arenas which span a few scrolls of background. This would probably get old fast, but thankfully these look great with smooth animations and a heavy eastern style to the enemies and protagonist. You face off against an assortment of ninja and samurai-ish looking dudes, including people who hurl axes or throw torches at you, as well as a variety of menacing floating enemies. Everyone seems to only take on...

A rare Unity game which is good (yet small) with easy achievements - a crazy single-screen beat-the-score chopping/slashing activity that helps to significantly relieve the stress in a couple of minutes. It tells the story of a deeply insulted samurai full of determination to teach the ceorls some rules of feudal etiquette. The gameplay consists of very energetic moves across the screen (vertical as well, for the character walks the air) dissecting scenery & actors altogather. It all reminds of a theatre stage where thousands of new bit players are always at hand to serve as props for the glory of the performer. Still they do provide certain opposition, especially when the score rises higher & more qualified scoundrels with projectiles inhabit the screen volume. Generally, i think it's a quality software for what it means to accomplish.
Very fun and addicting, as well as quite challenging. Highly recomend.
Really fun and addicting
I thought this may scratch the same itch that One Finger Death Punch did but unfortunately Samurai Rampage is really basic and didn't hold my attention for long at all. While the presentation and overall quality isn't awful the mobile game roots are very obvious and the gameplay is lacking after the first couple runs. It's essentially spamming the attack button and then jumping to avoid damage when needed, the jumping is awkward and you will experience deaths you knew were coming but couldn't get the jump to co-operate, game doesn't really have any depth to it and gets boring quickly, silver lining it's cheap and was some fairly easy achievements i suppose. But if you like the look of this just play One Finger Death Punch 1+2 for a more engaging arcade smash-em-up
Samurai Killing Spree
Gameplay : 3 maps each with a score to unlock the next one, kill everything on sight and dodge (when possible) weapons/fire/electric attacks, only 1 key to attack but you can use slow-motion too (using the same attack key). Very fast gameplay and very addictive too. Graphics : Pixel Art. Ultra wide support : YES, thank you devs. for that. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1636060045 Controls : I play with Gamepad (XBOX 360), left joystick for movement and A for attacks and slow-mo. Recommended price : 3.99€.
Conclusion
Addictive gameplay. Steam Leader board (for competitive people). I recommend this game to any Samurai/Pixel/Arcade Killing fan.
This gives life to the Samurai Jack deep inside of me that I didn't know I had. Fun, addicting gameplay and I love the fast pace of it and the "focus" mechanic. Most glorious indeed.
Small Little game, great for hours of mindless Samurai action totally worth the price!
Blowing stuff up is fun!
Super Samurai Rampage is essentially just a clicker game. It even has that mobile-styled menu when you pause the game. Combat basically boils down to only two sort of input: directional and one attack button. There is no jump: you just fly-slash with the same button. Combo in the game is just mashing attack buttons to slice through your opponents. The only way to avoid getting hit is just move in the right direction. No deflect mechanics, counter, or some sort. It has a nice stylized pixel art look with a cool destructible environments (i.e. slashes cuts woods/objects in backgrounds). But characters design is the typical orientalist take on "the Far East" - Chinese and Japanese elements mashed into one (what's with dragon lightning and the Raiden and Shredder lookalikes). I don't know what is the proper place for mobile clicker games on Steam, but for me personally it's not a game I'd recommend for PC.
