About This Game

  • Date up to nine-ish weapons, from dancing swords to heart-piercing daggers
  • Generated action-combat dungeons and challenges! Stay sharp!
  • Various combat styles. For example, hit hard and dodge quickly with the dagger, or take on crowds with Lasersaber
  • Inclusive, tasteful approach to gender and sexuality - male, female, and non-binary romance
  • Let's get to the point: take your weapon-babes on romantic outings, such as to the club or the beach

You move into your cousin's old apartment, rent-free for the summer. Plus, he'll help you solve your little problem... you've never been on a date in your life!

To get some confidence and meet people, plus earn a little cash, you’re tasked with clearing the creatures in “the dunj”. Soon you discover weapons you find transform into cuties… and they’re SINGLE! (What a craaazy coincidence because you also happen to be up for grabs yourself.) But someone's abducting weapons and leaving them damaged in the dungeon! Who could do such a thing? Will you solve the blade-napping mystery? Will you find love? Or, friendship, at least?

Craft gifts for your bae blades and give them when the time is right, whether it's in the dunj or out on the town. After all, a couple that slays together, stays together.

  • Estoc (Isaac): the sharpest dresser
  • Dagger (Valeria): tired of backstabs
  • Talwar (Sunder): worried he’s becoming an antique
  • Lasersaber (Seven): hard to get a handle on him
  • Glaive (Sawyer): awkward in the wrong hands
  • Scythe (Rowan): reaping what they sow
  • Brass Knuckles (Pocket): loves cat naps
  • Axe (Jonah): surfer sweetie
  • Hammer (Leah): fashionable and cute
  • Whip (Dr. Holmes): Cannot be wielded

Date them all without a care, you polyarmourous dual-wielder, or just be best friends. Either way, you can reach max Love Rank, because platonic love is also real love. (Besides, you can't be romantic with the cat anyway. Calm down.)

If that's not enough for you, mod your own! The devs have already added basic support for changing out weapon looks -- keep an eye on updates for more features to help you blacksmith your own sharp cuties and trade them with your friends.

I don't know if I enjoyed a single second of this game. Maybe looking at Sunder before he opens his mouth, but that's about it. I think the problem with games that are "woke" is that they're judged more harshly for their attempts towards kindness. For example, the game asks you if a support system "Mom" sending you text messages is okay. That's nice and all but it made me sit there and work through the process if that WOULD be okay with me. In the end I selected it'd be okay, but I actually was a little sad of having to make that choice. I lost my mom when I was 21... In trying to avoid causing me sadness, the game actively made me sad having to remember I don't have a mom. And then, once the messages starting coming in, I realized I made the wrong choice. But there was no way to get rid of my video game mom lovebombing me without starting over lol. If the developers were to carry this onward to their other games, I'd leave it more open ended. For example, the question might read as...

I really want to like this game, but one of the core characters is really making me uncomfortable. So we'll start with the negatives, I like to end on a happy note. I'll try to avoid spoilers, but it really depends on what you call spoiler, If you want to skip, skip down to the word "Safety" in all capitals. There's a character called Eric, you meet him fairly near the start, you can't directly tell him to F off. Much as I wish you could. He's nasty about your relatives, he's obsessed with purity in people in a kinda 1940's fascist party kinda way. He's just a ton of red flags all at once. He knows where you live and he bothers you constantly. Sending you texts and blowing up your phone. You can ignore his texts, but he'll still appear. And this REALLY makes me uncomfortable. You cannot get rid of him, he's part of the game. It's really weird, that this game tries to make sure you're comfortable with things. But then throws in one of the most common sources of anxiety when it comes t...

Okay LISTEN, were some of the characters advances unwanted? yes. and did some of them not get it when I was like 'leave me alone'? yes. But that being said this is genuinely some of the most fun I have had in a game in a long time. The unique premise alone of people being weapons would have made this a 5 star game but the mix of dating and dungeon crawling was so fun and I'm so glad it wasnt SUPER difficult to 100% in my experience. Although that bug mini game at the end gave me jib but I just came back the next day and crushed it. The literal zero consequences for dying in the dungeon was so needed and the lack of day cycle or time scale was also very much appreciated. I never felt rushed or pressured to do anything or progress any which way at any point. So whenever I got bored of dates I would head to the dunj for a while and then get back to the dates. It wasnt always clear whos gifts were for who but as there was no achievement attached to giving them the right ones, it...

This is a flipping goofy a** game... and really fun to play. A silly concept and story that has a relatively shallow, cast of caricatures. It isn't going to give you spicy content. But you will be dealing with the NPCs odd personality quirks, and personal traumas, denials, and struggles. If you have issues with diversity and inclusion themes, this will not be the game for you. All in all, it is a very simple, beginner friendly, and not overwhelming game that let's to date some pretty cool weapons (how neat is that?).

Fun game to play. Had a little bit of a learning curve as far as controls go, but once you get the hang of it it's fine. There is no nudity, just a lot of innuendo and some cursing but that's about it. Enjoyed it.

A friend introduced me to Boyfriend Dungeon. I'm glad she did."Weapons turning into people you can date?!" It sounded interestingly wild, but honestly? It works. The combat itself isn't very complicated but still satisfying. The game supports full controller,as an option, which is nice. Each weapon has its own style, so you get to experiment and find the one that feels right for you.Speaking of style, besides the people turning into weapons, I liked the art style of the game too. I liked the cute look of my character and the others especially on the map view. They are just too adorable to not like.I also enjoyed the music. It was nice and relaxing. One thing I do love, is stories. What really stood out for me was the cast of characters. They're all different, with their own personalities, stories, and insecurities, so dating them didn't feel copy-pasted.A good example of this is when the weapons transformed for the first time they each have their own animation transformation. The story doesn...
