A mixture of an Idle Game, a City Builder game, and some say, Tower Defense. It fails greatly in every one of those categories. Yes, its a very cheap game, but you would be better off playing a free game like Realm Grinder, Clicker Heroes, or some flash game on Kongregate. As an Idle Game, its very bare-bones, with not a lot of options or upgrades, pretty much no strategy. As a City Builder, its worthless, it doesn't matter at all where you place building, and they don't have any particular functions other then creating various amounts of gold. Roads and things like that are created automatically. So there really is no strategy to it, just place things on the grid. Every building is the same squared size. As a Tower Defense? Well you can't really call it that, there are no towers to build. There is 1 archer at the top of a wall, that you can click so he fires 1 arrow, damage upgradable. There is 1 soldier running around outside the wall, that will hit enemies that randomly spawn, h...

About This Game
heal your hero, collect coins, build houses, collect coins.
In Village Of Souls you start out by building houses and other buildings for your villagers, each building you build will earn you income in the form of taxes so that you can add new homes and upgrades to your village and a larger village means more villagers. But villagers and income aren't the only things that take interest the more your village grows. More Money means more problems, soon enemies will gather at your gates trying to conquer your village, but all hope is not lost luckily for your village a mighty hero and a brave archer are ready to defend all the villagers from the coming invasion!

No, its not a complex game. Whoever tagged this "city builder" must be a very casual player :) Its essentially a copy of Adventure Capitalist where you place buildings (which costs coins) to generate more coins in the same time. At least you do not have to click the houses to get the coins, those are automatically collcted (see Adventure Capitalist). You can buy an upgrade (an overseer or mayor) which will then collect those coins even while you are not playing it (being offline).....like Adventure Capitalist. The only thing that appears to be different, this game tries to add some complexity by having (constantly) attackers (orcs or goblins) and by adding villagers and another currency (the villagers souls). With this added currency you can upgrade a few things (like your hero who fights against the attackers). You can upgrade your wall (which defends you against the attacks), you can add archers on the wall (which assist your hero, but appear to not fight automatically) and your he...
Great little game.
For $3.99 this is a good little game. It is a city building slash tower defence slash clicker style game. Your objective is to continually build up your city so that it earns you more coins to spend on more city buildings, wall defences, Archer and Priest powers and Hero stats. You can also spend them on various other unlockables too. HINT! Don't press Level Up until your hero is comfortably killing everything on the level you're on and maintaining max HP. If you level up too fast, your hero will die and you will be the only defence for your town which requires active clicking. So the best way is to buy buildings, raise coins, level up your hero stats, and when his HP Regen is comfortably keeping his HP at MAX, then level up and continue that system as you go along. Of course, at some point you will need to reset to continue with higher stats like most typical clicker hero games. The game doesn't have a good tutorial, in fact, it has no tutorial aside from three things it tells you to...
Fun
Fun concept, but way too many game breaking bugs. Avoid for now.
It's very stale and crappy, concept, interface and just about everything else about this game is shit. DO NOT BUY.
This is clicker heroes laid out differently, I like it :P
This game is great! For a cheap price too. Tutorial could be better, but the music is good, the game isn't laggy, and the models are fantastic. 10/10
Space bar doesn't work. Causing the text box to always be taking up a quarter of your screen. This is like the framework of a game, where there's not quite enough here to really call it a game. For it being so cheap, you'll still feel ripped off
