About This Game

Sokoban Land DX is a 2D top-down puzzle game with colorful graphics and relaxing soundtrack, based on the classic Sokoban style games with some new improvements over the original and a few adventure elements.

You'll need to push boxes to the right places to open the gate and go to the next level. You'll be able to play in single-player mode controlling 1 or 2 characters at same time, or in local co-op mode with a friend changing modes on the fly during levels the way you prefer. Each player can undo their last move, but if you get stuck, you can restart the level whenever you want and there isn't limited movements or timers, so you can do all at your own pace.

This is another sokoban clone. The gimmick to this one is that you can play with two players. I expected there to be two-player puzzles where you need two characters to solve the puzzle, but the puzzles are identical so the second player only makes them easier. That's a problem when the puzzles are already much too easy to be interesting. I was also unable to determine the difference between "2 player" and "2 player co-op" modes. They both seem to do the same thing. The characters move at a snail's pace, perhaps so you won't have time to request a refund on Steam. In addition to being overly simple, the puzzles are repetitive and force you to do the same thing multiple times, which is boring. The graphics and music are somewhat endearing, but not enough to make the game worth playing, even if it were free.

Good sokoban game. I have some pointers for the developer. Make the walkable path a different color. Brown is a good choice. The current combination of greens makes the game a little hard for those with eyesight problems. Work on the usability when using controllers. I'm specific the mouse cursor didn't disappear when using steam link and a controller. the mouse was visible over a button (center of screen) and I couldn't change the selected button using a controller. When selecting with controller it always selected the option where the mouse was hovering. Last but not least. Try to make the menu selection more clear. Right now it's a thin white border around the buttons. And there is a button with a different color. It'll be easier to spot the current selection If you make the current selection a different (contrasting) color altogether.

If u look for relaxing and simple sokoban game, that's the title for you. graphics - simplistic, nothing fancy here music - very simple, I turned it off after several levels, started to be annoying controls - on forums some people complained about movemnt speed too slow and some steps speed, making controls clunky, but for me I had no issues at all, I think I misteped maybe 2-3 times during whole 100 lvls gameplay. The only negative I have to give (unfortunately) is to difficulty level - which is way too easy. I was expecting some really hard logic riddles here, as was offered by original sokoban ~30y ago, but it is not the case. It took me 4hours of total Steam gameplay time to beat whole game, and this includes my breakes from playing while the game was running. So yeah, kinda dissapointed here. Maybe it was intentionally made like this, to make it more friendly to kids in coop modes - maybe, who knows. But if you finish most levels in first attempt, no matter the difficulty level...

This is the first game I played coop with my 4 years old son. We had a blast. Thanks for a cute first experience. The game is very simple and easy so it depends that you expect. Obviously I wouldn't enjoy playing it on my own as a 34 years old man lol
