Refunded. What a horribly slow and boring opening sequence, marred further by a deeply unlikable player character and a worse-than-borderlands attempt at humor.

Way too much talking! I am getting a headache playing this. The main character and his glove talk so much they can't finish their sentences before the next line of dialogue starts. They're not the only ones doing this. It is every single other NPC you encounter as well. Even when I press skip to fast forward through the dialogue I am baffled by how long it takes. The last straw was the servant robot in some museum forcing me to walk slowly with her as she stops by every single exhibit to give an explanation that adds absolutely nothing to the game, the story or the world. Note to the devs. Less is more and in this game far less would have been perfect. Then on top of it when they finally shut up and I get to have maybe 5-10 minutes of gameplay, the gameplay itself is not all that interesting. When you are in the outside areas enemies are everywhere and they intervene constantly when you just want to look around to figure out what to do next. If you kill them, it just spawns even more...
⚔️ Atomic Heart - Retro-Futuristic Action Fun
What I Played: I dove into the vibrant and twisted world of Atomic Heart, taking on all sorts of bizarre enemies while trying to unravel the mysteries behind it all. The Good:

The retro-futuristic setting is a visual feast for the eyes — exploring the world felt like stepping into a psychedelic sci-fi dream.
Combat is intense and satisfying, especially when you adapt your strategies to different enemy types. It kept me on my toes!
The Bad:

Some occasional performance hiccups took me out of the immersion, which was a bummer during intense fights.
I wished there were more varied mission types to break up the gameplay a bit and add more depth to the experience.
Verdict: Recommended - Atomic Heart's unique world and engaging combat make it a must-play for action RPG fans who don't mind a few technical bumps along the way. I had a blast explori...

Gameplay is like a mix of the worst from Bioshock and Dead Island games inter-spaced by boring and annoying mini-games on locked doors (and there are a ton of em!!). Lots of reused assets that remind me I'm playing a videogame and not exploring a world, it feels like the whole thing was just "put together" by various assets to fluff it out. I often experienced bugs that forced me to restart the game, now there are generous checkpoints in the game, but still annoying having to restart the game. Overall not worth your time, just check out the mediocre story and cutscenes out on youtube if you are curious. I really thought this game was better, guess I was tricked by the trailers and internet bots. I admit the ballerina robots are pretty cool though, but again, just check it out on youtube and save your money and time...

Atomic Heart is tied with Bioshock Inifinite as my favorite shooter of all time. Base game was great then dlc 1 was even better then dlc 2 and 3 were phenomenal and one of the best soundtracks of any video game in my opinion.

They took all the fun out of gaming. This title is full of annoyances that are on purpose. Like ridding an elevator seemingly forever. Platforming with clunky movements. A first person shooter with sparse ammo, long and tedious crafting/disassemble process. And a ton more. This game is literally where fun went to die. That's not even talking performances, impossible to run the game at 4K if the desktop is not set to 4K, despite having a dedicated full screen mode mind you, ultra frequent micro stutters everytime something new is loading. And that running the game 2 years after the release. I dare not imagine what the game used to be at launch. The superb art direction doesn't make up for the numerous flaws this game have, either by design or by omission. It's a very short game overall that is artificially extended by bad gameplay, tedious mechanics, same puzzles, locks, crafting, disassembling. Looting is awful yet mandatory.

I am yet to play the DLC but I have to give the game a negative review in spite of its positives. Spoilers below. Positives: Great Atmosphere and unique world Decent Gun play with some variety A world where you want to get invested in its lore Good amount of content with the prologue being the first 10 hours of gameplay but not feeling like a tutorial. Cons: Level of narrative detail falls off a cliff after the tutorial. Plot and lore that appears to contradict as if the story has been rewritten several times that can be one after the other lines in dialogue. For example towards the end of the game. Charles real Russian name changes between line deliveries. Atomic Heart being the scheme to take over america based on shutting down Americas atomic infrastructure, but when you get an alarm level 2, Charles calls the robot reinforcements "Atomic Heart". This is also a line that can be generated before the player is aware of what Atomic Heart is. Narrative sequence breaks. By exploring th...

I really wanted to like this game, the setting is unique, interesting and rather beautiful at times. But it's just too clunky, buggy, badly presented and the game design is imho deeply flawed. Clunky: Examples are, a dodge mechanic that feels ill suited to a m&kb (why not double tap for dodge) and no sprint. I cannot rebind certain keys (I use WERD for movement, but then I cannot also use the same keys for driving). Mostly it's the feel, they just don't feel polished and refined, they feel janky. Buggy: The game crashed several times in the opening area (the canal), I had to undo my GPU OC to prevent it...similar to the equally buggy (for me) Robocop, the colour/lighting can become washed out and inverted looking at random, which means you have to delete the games cache. Sound is not well mixed and dialogue can overlap at times. Lots of other minor issues here and there that leads to a general feel of lacking polish. Badly Presented: Not the art style, robot, architecture designs an...
