About This Game

Robby's Adventure is a side-scroller platformer game where you will guide a robot named Robby through numerous obstacles and challenges. Sometimes it will be too easy and sometimes very hard. Sometimes you will have to slow down and sometime run with all your legs.

Robby came to us from another planet and managed to get a real friend.
The boy liked to play with Robby very much but once the misfortune happened - Robby was broken.
Boy's parents gave the toy for repair and then our adventure begins.
The factory manager quickly realised the this was more than a toy and decided not to return the toy to the boy. He wanted to research Robby and use it for his own purposes.

There is a lot to like here. However: I really want there to be a better explanation for the tool box. The text needs to be organized so that it is readable, or better yet, add some voice acting. As it is, the robot is cute, the platforming is rage inducing and the game is not terrible. Probably a bit pricey. https://youtu.be/e4qUqnaDyms

Robby's Adventure is yet another of literally thousands of 2D retro platformers infesting Steam and lowering the average quality of all video games everywhere. This one is rendered in 3D thanks to the Unreal Engine, unfortunately this adds very little to the experience apart from demonstrating clearly to all the amateur devs who pollute Steam with pixel garbage that there's just no excuse for that kind of laziness. That doesn't mean this is by any means close to a decent game, but at least the developer wasn't as lazy as most of them, so kudos to them for that much at least. This garbage platformer has you controlling some dopey robot looking to find your human being boy buddy, which might be charming if it was narrated well and accompanied with a decent video game, neither of which has happened here. From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. There's no option to change the resolution and no useful graphi...

Listen, you can read every comment from this game. You bought it for a really low price and got a % off because you got a coupon. This game... is definitely a game. That's what I keep saying. It's someone's first game, from it feels like. Its not a...bad game, but I won't be playing it more than I have. I 100% the game just to complete it and it took me 5.1 hours. The boss battle was... interesting and the last level made me hit my desk a few times because the ladder physic's are not...the best. Is it worth the experience for the price, yeah lol, but its not saying much. Pros: It's a simple game, was nice to explore, easy concepts (besides the boss and ladders). Cons: It can be frustrating at times, early mechanics like pushing objects is abandoned after first few levels, Little Robots run stupidly fast in the chase scene, Boss needs a helping hand with how you were suppose to jump correctly (I died around... 75 times just trying to figure out why I couldn't jump to the 4 platfo...

Controlling and looking at this game can legit feel painful at times... this game does have "story" and an overall progression to it... but that's kinda all I can positively say about it... 100% this game was a weird experience and I am more or less just feeling that it was just a bit of a waste of time. There are a lot of things to improve on that it feels hard to even know where to start. problems rudimentary that starts with like creating models that feel more connected to one another to fixing hit box systems and all. There is a start to a game here... but just a start...

A precision platformer that doesn't have the responsive controls, precise hitboxes or time to practice for the precision it demands. Double jumps can either be short, medium, or incredibly high without any explanation for why you get one over the other. Sometimes just being too close to a bullet or enemy counts as a death instead of being actively hit by something. There are security camera segments that are barely visible, and I suspect unseeable for people with red/green colorblindness. Overall, the game end up just being enragingly frustrating instead of fun. The style is cute, but it doesn't make up for the gameplay.
