Campy horror hunting game with a ton of atmosphere and spooks to keep your cheeks tight

love it, made me feel like it i was in the real middle age and hunting monster from folk lore

this game is exactly what it says on the tin and then some and i love it!

Very straight forward, very fun indie game. It's a rare game that has classic indie game charm while also having well thought out mechanics and more than serviceable graphics and performance. It's hard. But not BS. You are rewarded for playing smart and careful. I bought the game after having most of the mechanics and gameplay spoiled and I still got my butt WHOOPED multiple times. Has plenty of secrets and events you can easily miss. Considering how generally unknown this game is, you're likely to accidentally stumble across details you won't find on a steam or reddit forum. Compared to other $10 indie games, the things to discover is above average, but I couldn't see myself ever replaying this after completing it. Whether or not you should buy depends on how much you enjoy the concept of being a witch hunter. Again, it's simple, and ~5 hours of no-nonsense entertainment is well worth the 10 buck pricetag.

Almost a master class in atmosphere, brought down by a terribly obnoxious sound. There is some really well done map design, visual story telling and horror elements, but there is a lot of padding making this often feeling like a walking sim with some combat that feels brute forced and cheap & tedious bosses makes this a 'mixed' for me. The 'heart beat' that plays when enemies are within 500 feet (more like 500 yards?) is intended to produce anxiety, but fails and produces nausea in me instead, game needed to be muted for me with some House Jazz. Shame because the ambiance was so delicious. The distance radius could have been a lot smaller. I really enjoyed the 1-shot tactical game play and the challenge of reloading under pressure. The witch encounter itself is worth a lot of praise, but the rest of the bosses are just monotonous. The final boss is not worth it and not satisfying to defeat, just plain tedious, cheap and you have to repeat 3 times? Other bosses were just tedious, mo...
