If Rimworld was a back scratcher with a pearl handle and a silver rod, Rekindling would be a good stick with a nice wide end on it for itching. I'm not calling it a knock off by any means just very similar. You manager resources, plan and build a community while everything tries to kill you. Here's the thing, so far it's fun if not as in depth as the previously mentioned game. It's Early Access though and I think it's a really good start. I enjoy playing it, have recommended it to friends. I'd say for the price point you cannot go wrong.

Big fan of Rimworld, Rise to Ruins, Gnomoria and other similar titles so I definitely had to pick Rekindling up. Rekindling isn't as in-depth as Rimworld, but it's on its way. The current state of the game can provide you with many hours of enjoyment and the dev has been putting out substantial updates weekly. The game is priced at an extremely affordable price and I'm glad I picked it up. Looking for the future success of this one!
This is a first impressions. I plan to play more and watch the game go through development. I will also change my review over the coarse of development. 5-7-19 0.24 Short answer is yes, i recommend it. Long answer: Rekindling is “SFS Studios” take on the colony building gener. It takes some ideas from similar games and even adds things of its own. As of know the game is short, but is still enjoyable if you have a few minutes to play. Even tho it is early access I have not come across to many bugs. The simplistic design of the game makes it easy for any pc to run and the price is a good start for what it is. I did not play the other titles by “SFS Studios” but i looked back and found out that their previous released game Inevitability is still receiving updates meaning the devs will most likely not abandoned this game for a long while. The only issue i really have is guns dont have sounds(that could be a bug tho), other then that small things like animals just walking int...
I walked into the discord and I requested the ability to craft bear cloaks. I few weeks later, I got a message saying we now have bear cloaks. 10/10 studio
I accidentally stumbled on this game, read the description and looked at the price...with all the expensive EA games I've purchased (which is a large majority of my game library), I figured why not give it a try. I have been having a blast. It's not Rimworld, but has a similar look. Plenty of content right now to keep me busy trying to sustain my lil settlement, and have not personally encountered any bugs yet. Not entirely sure what the end game goals are, but hopefully this will turn into a syfy~ish process where we build and educate our society to find a remedy to the fatal virus. :-) The DEVS...outstanding response and reactions to community so far...which is the best foundation to building a great game and fan base in my opinion. Also, there has already been a nice update since I made the purchase. Conclusion, if you are a fan of Rimworld type of gameplay....this game has alot to offer in the way of nice graphics, good amount of content for early access, and most impor...
Ok so, Like an early access budget Rimworld with a few differences. Doesn't have a whole lot of content at the moment, BUT does have some potential. I had fun playing so far though it is riddled with some weird AI and bugs. Nothing you wouldn't expect from an EA title. Would recommend keeping an eye on it to see where it goes. The devs seem to be active for now.
I have never played a management resource game before, so I went into Rekindling completely blind. I think a lot of the gameplay mechanics expect you to kind of know how to play without explicitly telling you what to do, which was definitely frustrating. That being said, it's fun and I did enjoy it once I figured out the basics. Easily the nicest part is that the dev is super responsive. I sent a slew of bugs over and they were fixed by the next update. Some of the things that I don't love are just aesthetic, so I wouldn't want them to impact my overall review, but I don't care for the graphics style or music very much. Neither of those impact the gameplay though. Overall, you can tell a lot of work has gone into this game and it was a lot of fun to mess around with once I figured out what I was doing.
I can't recommend this game. It's obviously a Rimworld rip-off, but I was more than willing to overlook that fact. If it provided unique game play I would have no issue with it. It doesn't. It has survival mode which is basically a bunch of ZMI (zombies) infected creatures attack at night killing all the local creatures, breaking through barriers (including mining areas for some monsters), and basically just being a nuisance. The AI in this game is... not good at all. Even with priorities they may go hunt zombies, attack on sight, or just watch as their fellow survivalist just gets pummeled. Pretty much a given your people are going to get sick. The character creation is basically a few stats: Building | Mining | Harvesting | Farming | Medical | Science. Then you get 4 character traits. One is positive, one is bad, and two are a mix between good/bad. You can often roll things like a character w/ high medical or builder and refuses to be a doctor or build. Not very well thought out. I...
Lovely game, keep it up
I picked this game up last night while browsing for something to cure my boredom, and honestly I expected it to be hot garbage. The game itself is a great idea and I can see it going quite a few places. While it is in Early Access and I should expect low content and bugs, there are a lot of tiny annoying ones. Such as not being able to leave a building menu or character sheet with escape as it brings up the main menu, and you can't press escape to close the main menu (not game breaking but annoying). There are a few others like this with simple clicking errors on the developer's end that make you stop and think for a second. Overall pretty good, but I would wait until a few update unless you have a job.
