About the Game

You are invited to join “The Primate Observation Club”, where you will observe the lives of caged monkeys and carefully analyze the information obtained.

GLOSSARY OF TERMS:

 • THE PRIMATE OBSERVATION CLUB: a shadowy group that observes other people through surveillance cameras and compromised webcams.
 • YOU: the newest member of the CLUB, tired of your run-down apartment, dull existence and boring job.
 • MONKEYS: dozens of strangers who have fallen prey to your voyeurism.
 • VOYEURISM: Exactly what you think it is (and also the reason why we’re rated “MATURE”).
 • PRIVACY: Something that the monkeys think they have.
 • PC (PERSONAL COMPUTER): Yep, we put a PC in your game that’s on your PC so that you can work on a PC while you’re playing the game that’s on your PC!
 • FEEDING THE MONKEYS: Interacting or interfering with the subjects in any way. Feeding the monkeys is strictly prohibited.
 • SHIT HITTING THE FAN: What may (or may not) happen if you feed the monkeys.

Oddly enough, club members keep feeding the monkeys as though they just can’t abide by this very simple rule! How about you? Will you help those you’re spying on, extort them, expose them and sabotage their dreams, or will you follow your instructions and sit twiddling your thumbs while the world burns?

got this on sale and was instantly hooked! it's a unique and genius blend of puzzle, strategy, management and your choices impacting the ending you get, but it's also pretty funny despite its dark premise. it can seem overwhelming at first because the game kinda throws you in the deep end and you really need to multitask and pay attention, but most of the stories/scenes and characters are interesting enough that you'll want to keep playing, and each playthrough is short enough that it's actually feasible to get every ending without getting too bored.

Do NOT feed the monkeys. Leave em hanging. Terrorize them. Humiliate them in public. ....or extend a helping monkey paw maybe?

Exalted Salutations, Noble Beings of Simian Descent! It is I—your most illustrious sovereign and celestial guide—Dong Feng (11M), come forth to bestow upon you my grandiloquent reflections. Having but recently completed the most scintillating digital odyssey known in the vulgar tongue as “Do Not Feed the Monkeys”, I find myself compelled—nay, divinely ordained—to declare that I am thoroughly enraptured by its ingenious construction. As the presiding orchestrator of numerous “re-education establishments” in the august province of East Turkestan, I perceived in the protagonist of this work a mirror of my own burdensome vocation: the eternal guardianship and ceaseless scrutiny of those placed beneath one’s gaze. Indeed, in my own benevolent dominion, the appellation of “monkeys” is, on occasion, employed with charming familiarity. Though I do, with modest pride, indulge in many of the diversions offered within this digital theatre, I must clarify that unlike...

I loved and highly recommend this experience! Do Not Feed the Monkeys is a story focused point&click "puzzle" game where you gather intel on people through hidden cameras and report your findings to a secret organization. While the rule is to "not feed the monkeys" (i.e., do not interfere with the people in the video feeds), you have full freedom to break it—I wholeheartedly encourage doing so! Just be aware, your choices and actions can often impact the story in unexpected ways. This game offers a wide range of narratives: wholesome, ridiculous, and even downright devastating. If you cannot stand resource management, this is likely not the game for you, as managing time, money, energy, and hunger are key features (although, in my opinion, once you get the hang of it, it's not much of a challenge.)

Very interesting social engineering/political sim game. The plots are genius. Got hooked with the game very easily and the different endings with small stories can relate to each other. The newspaper is definitely the key thing to showcase the core of the club. Need to play several round to get an overview of the world. Just like at the beginning of the game, the guy says - it's so easy to get addicted to the watching the cameras, and pay attention to health - Interestingly I got addicted to the game, and forgot eating and sleeping somehow, lol. This game does have a magic to attract you to dig more and more deeply into the values behind. There are quite a few non-interactive cameras with interesting clues of potential gaming. I hope this game can be expanded a bit to make it more comprehensive. Overall - Highly recommend!

Really good game. Amazing concept and execution. Lots of freedom. "Can I..." 9/10 times, you can. Love it. Only complaint is some stories feel really unfair since you can miss one little thing and you're done. I guess it's just part of the game's gimmick but it's kinda overwhelming when you're managing several storylines/cells at once
