This Strange Realm Of Mine

The game is quite enjoyable. It’s a retro-style FPS adventure (though not exactly a full “boomer shooter” ayou might expect from the preview images). Instead of following a single main theme, the game feels more like a collection of smaller mini-games. The presentation is decent, though I tend to skip much of the text since it comes across as trying to be deep and poetic, but doesn’t really succeed. Overall, it’s a fun way to pass the time. The “Hard” mode isn’t truly difficult, it just drags in places, but I still strongly recommend starting on Hard from the beginning, as the easier modes make the game feel too trivial.

So this FPS is focused on philosophy and lots of questions related to death, personal issues to work through, acceptance etc. The FPS part is kept basic, it’s a great way to improve pacing. The game also has a few small segments (platforming, shmup etc) that add a bit of variety. The style of the game is great, some of the characters give the game a bit of charm and I like how the game tried to incorporate all of these elements. I am fully behind the game’s idea. The issue is the philosophy part not paying off. It’s rather weak, not well written/explained and it feels like too much text is used to repeat the same thing while not making a lot of sense at the end. I don’t mind the game having lots of text and asking big questions but the quality needs to be better to warrant it. I still had fun with the gameplay, style and overall variety but I decided to skip all text after completing the game the first time. You need to complete the game 5 times for the achievements, luckily...

I really hate that there is no way changing MB1/MB2 bindings for shooting/aiming, for me its unplayable.

a dark pixelated shooter games with lite story. IMO its very absurd and so philosophistic, gonna question everything about life and death. ive got this game less than a dollar. provide a fun solid 1-2 hours gameplay
