I love this game but it can ruin friendships if you argue about net placements. Also fuck that bird that drops the dang ole rocks.
Overview
Raft is a survival-sandbox game set in a post-apocalyptic, waterlogged world, featuring a stimulating tech-tree, genuinely challenging survival mechanics, and extensive customization that makes your raft feel like home. You play as a lone survivor (or with friends) adrift on an endless ocean, gathering debris, crafting tools, and upgrading your raft as you uncover the mysteries of a flooded Earth. With a compelling mix of exploration and progression, Raft steadily evolves from a fight for survival into a journey of discovery and comfort at sea.
Strengths
What sets Raft apart is its rare balance of meaningful progression and survival challenge. The tech-tree is remarkably well-structured: each upgrade tangibly reshapes your experience, shifting you from a fragile castaway into a capable navigator of the high seas. You'll transition from purifying water in a makeshift bowl to harvesting crops with automated sprinklers, from paddling a tiny plank to steering a ...
Built a bunch of extra engines because i couldn’t figure out why my raft wasn’t moving, before checking the Anchor.
Raft is the perfect mix of chill and chaos—you start bobbing along the ocean, fishing, building, and feeling like a master of your little floating kingdom, and it’s wonderfully relaxing… until a shark shows up, or you realize you’ve been staring at endless blue for ten minutes wondering if that seagull is judging you. The open ocean can feel a little empty at times, and there are stretches where not much happens, but when you finally spot an island, discover loot, or fend off a hungry predator, it all clicks. Relaxing, tense, and occasionally absurd—Raft keeps you afloat in more ways than one.
Absolute Cinema of video game definitely need a sequel and/or prequel.Play with friends if you have lonely ass player
Innovative combination of survival, sandbox, base building, co-op, procedural and story elements with a decent art style. The world is unique and small enough to not feel repetitive and boring. A bit of a woke story/premise but it doesn't distract too much from the game.
super fun game with a cute ending. great to play with friends, wish there was more!
roses are red, violets are blue, no game in the world compares quite like you! ~
its good. my ONLY complaint, is how death works, especially solo. when you die and respawn, your stuff should drop onto the floor in a crate, which can float in the ocean if you die there. that way, you can have the chance of going and retrieving your shit, instead of permanetly losing items you LITERALLY JUST FUCKING CRAFTED cause a boar wont fuck off after 5 hits.
