Block Survival: Legend of the Lost Islands

EDIT: Came back to this game tonight and finished the first playthrough! I still can't recommend this game enough! It's a blast and I will be playing through it again! Seriously well done and highly addictive! Congratulations and I hope you all make more games! I was going to wait a bit to do this but I probably spent 4-5 hours today playing this little gem. It isn't perfect by any means but it is perfectly fun as long as you go in with the understanding that it may look like a Minecraft-esque clone, it most certainly isn't one! It has a basic story, revealing in comic book style panels between levels. It has some rudimentary crafting in that you craft weapons, armor, and various usable items. - Turrets, Health Packs, and other things along those lines. You are basically an adventurer, you have a food bar and a health bar and the food does not need to be cooked or crafted and it basically heals you when you eat. - Not sure why the food meter is there, eating to heal seems like it ...

I'm 20 hours in to this game and I am enjoying every minute. Sometimes it challenging and other times it's funny, but it has always been fun. The MCesque look of the game takes nothing away from the story (done in a comic book panel style) or the gameplay. Too many people equate any Voxel based game with just being a MC clone and this is nothing of the sort. The diverse enviroments and enemies are great and the randomness of the loot system makes it a unique playthrough for each person. The Dev team has been very active in the Forums and appear to care about their game very much. Worth the purchase at full price.

Ok let's get to the point, this is [b]NOT[/b] a Minecraft clone, copy or rip off, it would be like saying Call of Duty is a copy of Battlefield, both of them are "war" games but the gameplay is very different, or that Scotch is a copy of Vodka, both of them get you drunk, but they taste and are served in a different way. I've never been a Minecraft fan, for me is boring, but I find this game very funny and crazy, the world it's just engaging. I like the music, the environment, the night/day cycle and the variety of bosses, levels, weapons, animals and challenges, none of them feels the same. If you want to have [b]FUN[/b], kill a lot of enemies, survive, craft weapons and do a lot of crazy stuff, [b]BUY IT![/b]. Sure it has some bugs but nothing a couple of patches can't fix.

Awesome!! I wasn't expecting this much for the price, it was a nice surprise, I loved the style and game mechanics, simple yet addictive, recommendable for all ages!

Sorry for my impoliteness, but this game needs more improvement indeed, below are issues so far: 1. Gold get disappeared too quicky, if you kill a mob in long range and you won't able to get the gold. 2. Dmg / gold showing incorrectly. eg. Weapon DMG upgraded but showing the old dmg. Gold didn't refresh after transaction. edit: Recommend this game since developers will listen and work hard for debugging. The game is fun indeed. The slow motion during shooting is a cool impact.

What can I say. I had fun from begining to end. Each island was unique and vastly different from those that went before and challenged me to consider new tactics. This isn't Dark Souls, in fact there isn't anything dark about this game. It's light and colorful and frequently comical. It was certainly worth whatever I paid for it. I'll be playing it again.

An uninspired shooter and an uninspired copy-cat.

I had quite the fun with this game. It has a lot of levels, and a lot of enemy variation I did liked the weapon crafting system, it was clean, simple, and very useful throughout the game It even has that extra-bonus of surviving during the night, with another round of enemies. I recommend this game, if you like FPS, and even better, if you like blocky style games, you will probably enjoy it!

Very fun game and for the price it's totally worth it. Not too easy and not too hard, just right and the crafting and adventuring/exploring is fun, also the combat is satisfying. Plus the out of combat music is chill and remids me of some of the levels from alice madness returns, which i love. Some minor annoying things are the op scyhte traps, but with armor/speed potion they are manageable, or if you can find a way around them, which makes them kinda fun. Also some nice additions to the game would be GUI scaling and FOV slider. All in all, surprisingly fun game to waste time on and i see myself playing this for a long while, keep up the great work devs!
