About the Game
Men of War: Assault Squad features a completely new cooperative skirmish game mode with access to five different nations (Russia, Germany, USA, Commonwealth and, for the first time ever in the Men of War series, Japan) as well as increased realism and accessibility.Players can get behind the controls of a tank to smash through obstacles, crush soldiers under their tracks and fire high-explosive shells at enemy emplacements, they can even take control of individual soldiers as they fight. As in previous games in the series, Men of War: Assault Squad includes the unique "direct control" feature which enables players to be in command of any unit using the WASD controls, rather than pointing and clicking.

User Reviews
Men of War: Assault Squad is a meticulously crafted real-time tactics game that plunges players into the intense and gritty battles of World War II with an impressive level of detail and strategic depth. Developed by Digitalmindsoft and published by 1C Company, this title is both a standalone expansion and a significant evolution of the Men of War series. It appeals strongly to fans of tactical warfare simulations, offering a complex blend of squad-based combat, realistic ballistics, and diverse mission objectives that emphasize thoughtful planning over mindless action. The gameplay of Assault Squad centers on controlling squads of soldiers, vehicles, and support units across varied battlefields representing different theaters of World War II. What sets this game apart from many RTS titles is its focus on tactical realism. Every soldier has an individual health pool and can be given specific commands such as taking cover, throwing grenades, or manning vehicles. The ability to directly...
good
the game is fun i love the game, but the game has a runtime error and crash the game. it not a rare crash edit: i change my monitor refresh rate to 60 hz and that do the trick, there seem to be no more runtime error for me
You cant even complete missions because of some bs C++ Runtime Error that the dev wont fix. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY OR TIME
no single player campaign, just a set of skirmishes, all sets are very similar and u get only worse units, AI sends waves of soldiers to get optionally slaughtered and occasionally some armor, enemy has longer gun range and better aiming (high probability of first hit with first shot compared to my units), maps are stupidly narrow, dominated by well placed guns, usually with no way to flank these positions, second half of map is always controlled with enemy artillery, units shoot as if there is only last enemy and waste ammo, if u want to preserve your units it is tedious to supply them with ammo and ammo truck has like for one squad of ammunition (yes, we can salvage ammo from enemy, but bodies vanishes as the game keep only like last 25 of dead and those are usually in enemy field of fire and u often have to pick up weapons too or not all men in squad are able to shoot), the game crashes more often compared to previous men of war games.
good
this is my go to game. Takes a few hours to become familiar but it is a good game for a quick 20 min match.
Each battle feels like a tiny WW2 documentary that you’re actively screwing up, the kind of chaos where a single sniper behind a bush can change the outcome of an entire frontline. The level of control you get is absurd, the terrain destruction isn’t just visual, it impacts cover and flanking but cooperative missions is where the game really shines.
