About This Game

Time, Space and Matter (TSM) is a new game from the creator of Blameless. It brings back a unique first-person experience of puzzle solving, this time through the manipulation with gravity in 3D space.

Resemblance

Some players might find a resemblance with Portal. However, unlike clones, TSM is an original game with original ideas and has, in fact, nothing to do with Portal, although it was a considerable influence.

Features

  • Logical 3D space navigation
  • Both slow-paced progression and fast-paced action
  • Freedom of approach in solving puzzles
  • A lot of fun with gravity blasts
  • Bonus content for completionists

Disclaimer

This game is no shovel-ware. It's development took over two years and was conceived by me in my spare time. Aside from selected songs and audio tracks, the game only contains original ideas and original assets.

This game would have been amazing if it had come 15 years ago. However, that's not the case. In the end, "Time, Space and Matter" just feels like a worse version of Portal. And even if you take away the fact that it's outdated, the game is still annoying. Doing something will work one time out of three, making you think that you're doing it wrong when you're actually doing the right thing to advance in the game. It's annoying rather than entertaining. As for the gameplay, although the concept of manipulating gravity is fun in theory, in practice, it's just disorienting, and you end up having no idea where you are nor where you're going, making the puzzle solving complicated, but not for the right reasons. This game is outdated and annoying. I'll give it a 3/10.

disorienting puzzle mechanics aside, this game has insanely floaty movement and is overall just bot fun to play. puzzles are mostly directionless in where you get from place to place, the end result being janky anti gravity flippity floppity platforming that needs to be so uber perfect. you can do something wrong ten times in a row and it's only because youre missing a jump, rather than approaching the puzzle itself wrong. aside from that bad stuff that made me not want to play, the game has cool ass music, a really neat aesthetic, and i wish i could trudge on to see the rest of the story.

[PLEASE NOTE: This review contains minor spoilers.] Ordinarily I prefer waiting until I've beaten a game to review it, but there are two ways in which this game is an exception. 1) I feel as though I'm close enough to the end anyways 2) I don't know if I want to subject myself to slogging through it anymore. Main Review ---------------- Readily apparent from minute one, this game draws heavy inspiration from the Portal series with the concepts of a company to greedy for it's own good, physics-based puzzles and eventually a rogue AI trying to kill you. Sounds like it should make for a good time, and it almost does. However there are major flaws that severely cripple the enjoyment factor of this game. Let's go over them in no particular order. --------------------- #1 ==>The Puzzles --------------------- The most important part of a PUZZLE game is having good puzzles, and for the majority this game simply doesn't cut it. The first set of puzzles are pretty alright challenges that wa...

A short & creative puzzle game centered around utilizing gravity as the primary puzzle component, brought to you by the same folks who developed the horror-short Blameless. If you enjoyed playing Portal, you'll likely enjoy this too. I'd like to re-emphasize that this game is not too terribly long, my total playtime after completion was 4.7 hours as of posting. I would personally wait for a sale before purchasing this one, but you don't need to wait for a discount over 50% off.
