Rite of Passage: Child of the Forest Collector's Edition

When this came out in 2017, it might have been seen as an okay-average HOG. in 2023, the artwork is dated, muddy, and not all that pleasing to the eye. The story is bad... which is to be expected from an HOG- but this one is worse than most. The puzzles often make no sense. Many are far too simple. while others are all trial & error- no real logic to them. Just keep guessing until you get it right. The game description says the game has achievements- not Steam Achievements, though. There are achievements that you can unlock and look at in-game. It's what I would call an average Big Fish Game. It might be okay as a time-killing $2.99 mobile game on a phone or tablet, but the full price for this on PC is far too high for a game with no Trading Cards and no Steam Achievements. If you do get it- wait until it is in a really cheap bundle or on sale for at least 75% off. I bought this back in 2018 at 65% off- and I still feel like I overpaid. Good hidden-object adventure game, except for the boring story. Mad Head should be a bit more inventive next time, like they were with Adam Wolfe.
