A game that sat in my library for years... until I tried it on a whim. It was a beautiful if lonely little romp until a companion showed up... We then braved the underworld all the way to the snowy summit. It was moving, to say the least. Amazing experience.

The quintessential art game that still feels like it NEEDS TO BE a game. It makes me feel genuinely connected to a stranger without communicating beyond a simple chime. Only tiny gripe is the checkpoint system, but the game is so short that it doesn't really matter. A genuine masterpiece that still gives me goosebumps. Runs wonderfully on steam deck.

Very good looking game. I love that you can find a random player and play the whole game with them. I was messaged by the person who beat the game with me. They are from China and i am from the US. we had a good chat about the art style and architecture that inspired us about the game. I haven't had a game experience like that in any other game.
Very short, great game.
I watched Lets Play a long time ago and it was really good, I saw it on sale, I caught a pleasant nostalgia and bought it. When I went in now, I was pleasantly surprised by the graphics, the gameplay is simple, methodical, relaxed. And when another player found me and we started exploring the world, I understood the essence of the game, got into that atmosphere and I really liked it. Oh my God, I cannot believe I slept on this game for so long. Journey is a... I don't know how to explain it. An experience. It's a beautiful meditative contemplative experience about exploring and finding and danger and adventure and beauty and pain and companionship and fear and sorrow and friendship and loss and discovery and gaining. I really do not know how to put it into words. But my God it was so beautiful. Very few games make me cry at the end. This one did. The controls are simple, but intuitive and fluid. Flying and skating along sand dunes or leaping as far as you can as your little Wayfarer to get to somewhere really feels good, and there are so many things to find! For someone who enjoys an exploration type experience and can't help but want to see what they can do new this time, what secrets they can find, what playground bits they can explore, this game just is perfect. It's a lot like being a kid again in that sense, all the way to the bitter conclusion and final joy...

I love this games art so much. On my first play through I didn't realize the game is multiplayer. I got freaked out and quit, but after restarting I learned it is an incredibly sweet and nice play though. Players help other players find glyphs. It is an amazing game.

I'm speechless.. Absolutely the worst game i've played in a long time. The game has no story. You go into this game confused as fuck and you leave the game confused as fuck. Nothing makes sense. Besides that they claim its COOP, but you have to be lucky to matchmake with your friend to actually play it. All these people writing these positive reviews of this game has to be either high as fuck, or written by AI. Theres no way anyone see this as anything but a waste of time. 10 out of 10 would refund again.

Got the game to play with the online co op on a reccomendation. We couldn't connect in the match making. Had to restart the game just to not be able to match make again. It's fun as a single player game but I don't recommend getting 2 copies to play with a friend etc. Unfortunate.

This is a lovely game. You can burn through it in about 3 hours, the controls are quite tight, and the scenery allows for a good deal of exploration while being stunning for a game that originally came out for the PS3 in 2012. The double edged sword is one of the defining features in that if someone else is playing the same level that you're on the game has a chance of putting the both of you into the same landscape at the same time, allowing you to in theory work through the puzzles together and perhaps show new players were secret locations are. It also means that if someone is performing a speed run and you get paired with them they might just completed the bits of the level while you're digging about the scenery to just look around. If this is a deal breaker for you, one can stop this by just running it offline. Still, a beautiful game. In theory you can play it with a mouse and keyboard, but you really should just invest in a controller for the full experience.
