I have played QuiVR, Elven Assassin, the Lab (archery game), Deadly Hunter, and Twisted Arrow (I'm not including games that are not solely focused on Bow and arrow, such as Raw Data). Out of all those archery games in VR, I had the most fun playing this game. Not only are the graphics better in this game, but the gameplay is satisfying and challenging, without it being too frustrating. Each level brings a higher difficulty and a new challenge. I especially like how there's no teleporting around. It just makes more sense. If you're defending place, you usually pick the best spot to shoot arrows and stay there. Yeah, I wish you could move at least a little, but it's better than teleporting all around the map. I'm not going to write here about the physics or whether the bow and arrow is realistic, because I have never tried to hit moving targets with a bow and arrow. The most I have done is mess around and try to hit a standing target at ground level. I can tell you that the p...

Pretty cool archery game! You have to protect your city by killing waves of medieval soldiers and warriors. There's a magic skill tree that you can use to strategize your fights. After each chapter you get bosses. Once your gate is down, and enemies run in you lose the level. The game doesn't have a tutorial, but starts you right away with a helper line to get you used to the bow / aiming mechanic. To me it worked pretty great after doing the first levels. There are already a lot of levels to play, which is nice for an indie early access game. There are some bugs here and there still, like sometimes the game starts without my "consent" and then I have to restart the game to make it start the right way. But as its an early access I'll assume all bugs will be fixed. I like that the game can get quite challenging and exhausting. Even in the "normal" game mode. It's definitely a pick up and play game that you can play if you don't have a lot of time, but do want to get a level done bef...

I have recently purchased Vive and Really enjoyed the ‘Longbow’. There are many archery games out there, however many of them were looked old school graphics like early 2000s, and those games were not persuasive enough to put 1.5lb HMD on my head. I’ve read about reviews and discussions, mostly there were talking about aiming and arrow. I have tried a demo before purchase, for me it was okay to play. Might be these problems are resolved recently? So far, i’m enjoying this game without serious problem. Pros - Good graphics - Liked hitting effects. - Magic arrows, it feels me like a god of archery. - Different class of enemies, (Shooting horseman is quite challenging but exciting.) Cons - Playtime is kinda short. I know this is Early Access, speed up devs... - Play is kind of repetitive. - This game should have better explanation about skills, i didn’t know how to activate it until first 15 mins, plus dev should consider to adding some active skills. Overall this game is 7.5...

Can’t recommend in its current state, for Vive. I have done real archery, played and enjoyed several VR archery titles. For some reason the virtual arrow is frustratingly difficult to nock, and disconnects easily as though my fingers pulled right through the string or my hand pulled away. Elven Assassin is an example where once you nock, the string position is locked to your finger until you release. Similarly, the arrow angle looks and feels more natural when it sticks out from between your fingers like a cigarette rather than in line with fingers. The virtual hands and arms are not lined up at all with actual hands, fortunately can be hidden. Suggest omitting arms or wrists. Shooting between the menu letters fails. Pressing the controller menu button does not pause or bring up a menu. The level map cuts through my body around waist level, breaking immersion. Skill tree is a bit vague and not a progressively earned achievement. Verbal combo announcements quickly become annoying and...

The game has a lot of potential. I really don't like the bow mechanics as the bow and hand don't quite meet right (although the update helped a lot and I hope to see more improvements). I hate the hand and arm that go with the controllers as they are out of kilt and do not fit actual hand positions. They also get in the way of aiming. I much prefer the "hide" mode as invisible is better than having things get in the way of aiming, especially if they don't quite fit. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qyVyvdQA_O0

Like this game. + Price seems reasonable + Demo is gut + Boss level is kind of fun + Bow mechanic is not bad + Avoiding enemy's makes me workout - Want to see more stages - Multi-player? someday? - Show me improvement on skill system, it's fine now but it could be best.

I have played this game since it released. By far, I think this is best graphics archery VR game as shown in the trailer. Devs are active, shooting feels nice and realistic. Looking forward upcoming updates.

It's wellmade archery VR. I hope to fix arm motion IK I think it's very odd. also I think It's better use active skill than passive skill.

I'm very, very late to PCVR and clearly bow mechanics and graphics have leaped forward since this game. I was really hoping to avoid buying a pricier archery game, but the mechanics here are seriously lacking and the foes and voice work are repetitive and monotonous. I can't make arrows go where I want, even with the assist line. Too frustrating.

Don't make the same mistake I did. I let curiosity get the better of me and I purchased this game believing that it could be as good or even better than other VR archery games I have played. NOPE. In fact, this is probably the worst VR archery game I have played for one main reason and that is putting the arrow and bow together is not smooth at all. Putting the arrow and bow together in this game is an absolutely awful experience with it sometimes taking three to four attempts before it finally works. I even tried switching from the Index controllers to the Vive controllers with the same result. It becomes extremely frustrating messing with the arrow/bow mechanic while getting quickly overrun by enemies, especially in some levels where you are placed way too close to the action. Boss levels were not even a possibility with such an awful time trying to put the arrow and bow together. You also cannot move at all in this game. There is not even node teleportation. And you must restart t...
