About This Game

Tanks VR is a multiplayer VR tank simulator set in the events of World War II. Immerse yourself in engaging battles with other players and see them react to your maneuvers. The intuitive controls allow you to operate a tank on your own. Pick a tank from your garage and use it to fight for the axis or allies in battles with up to 10 players. Tanks VR currently has the following features.

Battles with up to 10 players:

Fight in large battles with other players.

Solo tanks:

Intuitive controls allow one person to control the M5 Stuart or Panzer 38.

In-game voice chat:

Communicate with your team or taunt your enemy.

Physical lobbies:

Discuss battle tactics with your team in an underground bunker before a match starts.

Realistic damage model:

Each tank has strong and weak spots, use them to win from your enemy.

Historical maps:

Fight in close quarters or long distance on two urban maps.

Immersive war ambience:

Distant explosions and gunshots will immerse you in the game.

Practice mode:

Practice your tank skills in the solo practice mode.

The Tanks VR development team is ambitious and planning to add many more features after release such as AI, tank customization and a progression system. More tanks, maps and gamemodes are also planned to be added.

Worth the money. The dev is very active so far and listening to player feedback. No single player in this one, which for VR is kinda a bummer unless the game can attract a steady VR player base like Onward, which is no easy feat. There are currently a few big negatives for the release build I'm playing. First is no in game comms. For a squad based game like this, I would have really hoped to have it on release. Second is the game takes place in the middle of your playspace, there is no way to center the game to where you want to sit. I sit on a couch outside of my playspace, so I ended up kneeling in the middle of my space to play. This was fixed the day after release. There is now a center to sitting location option. Some positives too: Squad based tank battles are fun There is a discord to join for voice comms The dev is also on comms playing with you The controls are tough at first but they are fun and take time to master Price is right Overall I recommend this game. It's good e...

I'm pretty sure the game is dead. There's no updates on steam anymore it seems.

This will be a keeper if others buy it and play it. There is no single player game at all. I have played about 6 games so far. There have been between 2 and 5 player games so far. I think the game would be better if the player only selects which side to play on and not choose both a side and a tank. Currently, you can play as axis but use a allied tank or vice versa and this can be confusing during battle with figuring out who is on what side.

In this review is what I experianced with the game regardless if its early access or not. Everybody will experiance things differently. Now onto the review. Tanks VR is a an online game where you get to drive WW tanks using zero turn steering. The game is desgined to have 5v5 match. To move the tank forward & backwards you move the left & right levers forward to go forward & backwards to go backwards. To turn left or right you move the left lever left & the tank will turn left. To turn the tank right you move the right lever forward & the tank will turn right. You have a lever that controls the cannon height elevation & a lever that turns the tank cannon left or right. Firing is a button & that is it, no manual reloading or anything. There is only two tanks in the game, American & German tanks (I think). Also I hate the idea of using a website (discord) to find other players. That means you need to leave the website open all day to the Tank VR channel to get matches set up. S...

I really like the gameplay in the tank there's just barely anyone playing it, so please buy thr game so there is a bigger player base, with players and a little more work, I feel like this could be a staple of vr games.

bought the game early as seemed like it had potential but that was a mistake. the developers apparently got bored and vanished. theres only the most basic of content and not enough to warrant buying it even in a sale.

I got a refund, but only because there was no one playing, but I do belive that at one point it will gain momentum, and there will be a bigger player base, and when that happens I will get it again. Im not saying its bad, from my short time of shooting barrels, I think it is fun and worth the money. (though knowing my luck, at this point there are probably lots of people on) :\
