About This Game

Fight upon the Ravenfield together with your Blue allies! Take down those pesky Reds using helicopters, tanks, guns, and active ragdoll physics!

Ravenfield is a singleplayer game in the vein of older team-vs-team AI shooters. The game is designed to be easy to pick up and play, but also rewarding for all skill levels!

Key Features

  • Easy-to-pickup, singleplayer mayhem
  • Fight as infantry, or in ground vehicles, aircraft, or watercraft
  • Active ragdoll physics combines tactical strategies with a sprinkle of silly fun
  • The number of combatants is only limited by what your computer can handle!
  • Damaged soldiers drop team-colored blood splats, indicating where battles have taken place

Development Roadmap

Ravenfield is being developed as an early access game, with major content updates scheduled to be released every 4-6 weeks. Additionally, incremental updates are distributed via a beta branch for those who do not fear slightly more buggy releases.

While some content, such as new weapons, vehicles and maps will be released on a regular basis, other key features will be added roughly in the following order:
  • Custom map support
  • Steam Workshop integration
  • AI Commanding
  • Custom weapon support
  • Custom vehicle support
  • Conquest mode

This game feels more like a platform than a game to me because of the large number of mods available. The gameplay can vary greatly with each mod you add — for example, you can have a WWII game, a modern game, or even a sci-fi game, all built on the same core mechanics. I think that if you love games like Battlefield 2, you will certainly enjoy it.

It's a pretty well made game on it's own. But the modding community makes it great with how many maps, skins, and weapons that they add. This is a great game for a single developer, by I mean single I mean it is one guy working on the game. And he's done an amazing job at it. It's definitely worth the purchase as a single player game to fill some time.

Simply put, this game is eternal. It has one of the best modding communities on Steam and it has the ability to completely transform the game into anything you want it to be (aside from some very much needed machine war mods.) I don't see myself ever not playing this game and I hope you feel the same.

When cheating in multiplayer shooters is more common than ever, taking a break and a return to simple bot matches is a valuable thing. Buy it to mod it. Practice making your own mods. Change the entire theme of a match with cowboys versus sci-fi dropship troopers, play as spec-ops with objectives and weapon pickups, download or make maps that have you walking for minutes or arenas with standing room only. Ravenfield is as simple or complex as you want it to be. It's a great sandbox for de-stressing and it reminds me of the bot matches from older, and modifiable, multiplayer games that are now absent from newer titles.

Excellent single-player Battlefield-vs-bots style game, with some very good mod support (be aware there's a lot of mods out there and not all of them have been kept up to date with the current version of the game). Just plain fun.

Modding is a pretty awesome part of this game, I recommend the uncoventional weapons pack and that one mic jammer thing I found both by searching up stun in the workshop

Saw this off of Jacksepticeye's channel way back when everything was super basic. Fast forward to 2024 and I bought it during one of its rare sales. Basically Gmod but with the foundations of singleplayer Battlefield 2, built in Unity. Vanilla gameplay is nice, the maps are ok at best. Some just don't really bring much justice to the fun chaos that can erupt. Soldier designs are simple but brightly colored in Red (Ravens) and Blue (Eagles). Love the little smirk they have on their faces. Some guns have no reload sounds, and feel very similar to each other. Crazy how the M1 Garand is the best all-around weapon in the hands of the player. Game modes vary from your standard Team Deathmatch (Battle) and Domination. I absolutely adore the Spec-Ops mode, the Skirmish is super fun too, having to take control of a random soldier upon death. The modding community is absolutely amazing, and it is where Ravenfield gets super fun and personalized. The mods available on the workshop really ampli...

It doesn't worth its price as early acces unfinished game... But with steam workshop it worths much, much more than that! The amount of fun you are able to get from this game is directly dependent on your imagination and creativity.
