About This Game

Evil Genome was made by Crystal Depths Studio. It is a 3D horizontal wasteland adventure game (Metroidvania). It supports single-player and combined elements with wasteland world exploration, platformer, strategic combat and role development. You can use both ground and aerial skills, escape from barrage, fight with your enemies and collect game elements to develop your character. The story takes place in the 23rd century. You're under the orders of TLS organisation. Your mission is to investigate and eliminate those colonies which decalred their independence. During the adventure, you have to face to forces of different areas. Please enjoy this story!

Not Recommended

Game files now contain malware/trojan. I recently had to redownload several games in my library on a fresh windows install. The launcher.exe seems to contain ceevee or some such. Steam support seems to be clueless. I know it's an older game but I'd still rather like to have access, but oh well. And yes, virustotal was used, it flagged it abunch(had to switch off av to get the file to install) and yet steam support seems to have failed to notice the issue.

Cons: The game doesn't support mouse, not even in menu Voice acting is horrible Subtitles and audio don't sync The game is riddled with typos Even though I am killing bosses first try so far their mechanics are horrible and just a waste of time The monsters are annoying as well The game is buggy, I got stuck in some areas because the box that was supposed to be my elevation decided to JUMP (yes) to the platform above before me. Pros: The combat skills are alright Verdict: Save your money. Get it if it becomes free
