About This Game

Tombé Drums VR is part of The Music Room family of instruments. Combining accurate feel and ultra low latency these kits sound and feel great. You can play carefully scanned drums and cymbals from Pearl, Ludwig, Sabian, Zildjian, DW and Gretsch. You can also get comfortable being on stage, in the studio and in a practice room. Play at Cherry Bar, the best rock and roll bar in the world and Bakehouse Studio, a favourite rehearsal room of Elvis Costello, Tool and Nick Cave.

Tombé Drums support an extensive range of articulations. You can play cross stick hits, rim shots, tip and shank hits on the hi-hat, choke cymbals and it's all velocity sensitive.

If you're looking for MIDI output and DAW integration you move up to The Music Room for these features and more.

Please try the demo version to get a good idea of the feel and responsiveness. In the demo you have access to a champagne sparkle Gretsch Broadkaster kit and full version gives you access to more kits and venues. To use the kick some kind of mic, headphones or drum trigger is required that you can step on. An audio interface and native ASIO drivers is strongly recommended for good latency and feel.

I've played about 3 hrs so far since purchasing.... really enjoying it. I've been playing guitar as a hobby for many years and always wanted to try drums. However, I do not have the space to set up a kit and there's also the noise issue. Guitar Hero drums on expert is as close as I've gotten to playing a real drum set. This app definitely scratches that itch. I've been watching some YouTube beginner lessons and practicing with the app and feels good once you get used to holding the thick Vive controllers (vs real drumsticks). I'm using a old Guitar Hero kick pedal plugged into my mic input and works well. What I think needs work - Having to hit 'K' on the keyboard to position the drum set relative to kick pedal position is a real pain in the ass. So is 'Q' and 'W' to adjust set height. There really needs to be a way to do this using UI or controllers from within the HMD. Maybe you sit on drum stool/chair and face proper direction then hit a UI/controller button to place d...

I'm kind of blown away at how well this works. I'm getting ready to buy a USB pedal just for this. If you ever wanted to try drums but didn't have the funds or space now is your time. Play a drummless rock or metal track from Youtube and you'll feel like a rock star while playing it. 10!/10

#$%(ing fantastic for what it does: VR drum sim (with kick controls using separate accessories) that seems to take you as close to using many high-quality kits in your VR room as possible, with some limitations. (BTW, YES YOU CAN USE SMALL SEATED SPACES TO PLAY, BUT STEAMVR ROOM SETUP TWEAKING IS NECESSARY) I have experience with percussion in snares and minimally with kits (never had the space/volume capacity), but even someone who's never held drumsticks can pick up their motion controllers, play around and see there's a lot of good sounds with decent latency to work with from manufactures you may recognize. Hell, they can even begin to pick up some fills and start jamming---- if they were shown how. This software is the drumming portion from the parent The Music Room software which is designed to be a VR recording software, and like most you can work with, this one doesn't hold your hand in creating anything. You choose from 3 scenes to play from which are all nice visually (in an...

These people are criminals. I paid 20 damn dollars to spawn away from the kit. Best part is that there is no way to move without physically moving your seat or drum stool. Oh you'd also have to dig a hole into your floor because the kit spawns about with it being sunken into the ground. I hope you read this you criminals. Your game is garbage and you should be ashamed of yourselves for releasing such a terrible product

I got the Demo and thought it was pretty cool...I dont like that you cant reset your view (unless not that I have found) I purchased the game but in my opinion it was just fine with the single drum offered in the demo...I wish I didnt spend the 20 bucks for the whole version. if there is a refund option I am all for it.

I played only 11 minuted of this game, and that was all I needed. From the latency, to the terrible parody of the house of the rising sun, this sim is an absolute dumpster fire.

First of all, you can drum along your favourite song using this. Definitely. But... 1. Terrible interface. You spawn somewhere and the room with the kit is somewhere. If you're lucky you're behind the drums, otherwise down under. 2. Buttons! You CAN adjust the set with Q, W and K. But it's nowhere in the game, I've found this info on Reddit. 3. The mic-simulation of kick pedal is neat, but I'd rather have used my game pedal from simulators. No such option. In conclusion: after unleashing my inner Ian Paice for 30 min, I asked for a refund.
