First off, building a fun sim game is an incredibly complicated and grueling process. Kudos to the developer for even trying. It appears this is a a sole developer utilizing a few contractors to help or a very small team with quite limited resources. What they have achieved is worth commending. Unfortunately that doesn't make it a good game. The developer states that the game is finished and with the restrictions of the Steam refund policy, we don't have a lot of time to dive into the game. With the first 80 minutes of time spent in the game I found a lot of very simple mechanics at play. The tutorial is a bit confusing. The road laying function is unintuitive, as are the hotkeys. With enough time I could overcome that but the game appears shallow. Perhaps it introduces much deeper gameplay and simulations at a later point but I can't devote more time to the process. This is similar in scope and quality to a lot of the $5 sim toys that recently flooded the market. It's a good idea ...

User Reviews
I really wanted to like this game, but I cannot reccomend it at all. I love the concept of a nation sim with SimCity element to it but this game just is awful. For starters, everytime you want to activate a tool, you have to click its option, in other words the game does not remember which tool you have selected. Secondly, I feel the gameplay (at least what I was able to try) was very simplified with no depth. This simulation seems highly unresponsive to imput. It also seems very easy, with no way to fail or lose. I guess the military component is different, but I couldn't get far enough to see it since the game was very slow on my system. I would expect a 2d game to run much better than this, considering I can play Cities Skylines on max settings. To top it all off, the game locked up every time I played and would not respond. Don't leap into this liking the concept and thinking its going to be a deep, engaging experince like I did. It's just a shallow, buggy mess.
Last update Aug 26, 2017. So few people bought this I think the Dev ran out of money. It could've been a star
Fantastic game! If you like lite sims, then this is your game. It's got a very detail orientated design for a game as lite as it is, its mechanics are nuanced and unique. I strongly advise this game to anybody who is a fan of unique sims. It has a bit of a learning curve, but never fear, its worth it!
Bad game, grafix broken or building's not apearing. vaigue resource management , i think simn city 4 makes more sense than this retro 8 bittype ..
Terribel slow and buggy
I enjoy this game a lot. It reminds me of sim city 2000 from when I kid. There are two important differences: First, there's nukees. Yes you can nuke enemy nations because this game is sim city 2000 but is a modern nation builder. Second all of the cities work togeather to share rescoourses and you can trade with other nations. If you want a trip down nostliga road and have paitance for the bugs and bad user interface, than this game is for you.
Has some cool ideas but extremely clunky. Imagine a much less user-friendly clone of Sim City 3000.
like the older city building games but with a national twist. incorporates multiple little cities to run a country. can really get lost in the constructing and managing
I'm still early on in the game, but I can say I really like this game so far. The addition of manufacturing of certain goods, trade, laws, etc. are done well and I can see myself playing this one for a while. The one negative is I don't see traffic at all. For me that is always a fun part of a city game is managing the traffic. I hope that gets added, but overall this game is great.
