About This Game

Hi Everyone, Thanks for your support over the years. As one of the only two people behind VectorWave I would like to thank everyone who ever downloaded my game from the bottom of my heart. I've been making plans to revive this game for over 2 years. I've wanted to update it to modern controllers/headsets, even give it a minor graphical facelift, but unfortunately my time is very limited. As of now, VectorWave is dead. You can only play it if you have an original HTC Vive or a first or second gen oculus. This bring me no joy, but after 2 years of attempting to get the time to work on it, I believe it's finally time to throw in the towel. Any free time I get will go towards new game ideas of endeavors I may have. Thanks again.

VectorWave translates the traditional tower defense experience into virtual reality, allowing you the freedom to buy, place, toss, and move towers as you see fit between each wave with almost no need for menus. Each hand serves its own purpose in your efforts to build an impenetrable defense grid against increasingly difficult hordes of malware bent on destroying your mainframe.

Moving from a 2-D top down perspective in traditional TD games to Virtual Reality allows us to expand on this genre like never before. Because split second decisions and positioning matter, VectorWave's simple, yet versatile, movement and scaling system allows you to either stand directly in the action, or watch your carefully laid out plans from afar.

Awesome and somewhat straight forward Tower Defense, DEFINITELY worth the $1 sale price. I'd honestly pay up to $5 for this, though the normal $10 is a bit too much unless you're a huge Tower Defense fan. As a new VR player, one thing I have struggled with a lot is glide movement. In this game, you move around by holding the movement button and moving your hand/the controller in physical space, so you can actually control the exact speed you move! It's very intuitive and newcomer-friendly, and much appreciated! The gameplay is pretty much what you'd expect. Several tower types with multiple (2) upgrade paths each, and you place them around a path that enemies come through. However the way you select and place towers, using a specialized type of controller in your off hand, works really well and helps give the feeling of this not just simply being a Tower Defense VR port. It's very much made for VR, with a cool Tron-esque visual style, great retro music, and simple but artistica...

9/10 Very fun, very challenging. Full of strategic depth. Exactly what one should demond of TD. VR works extremely well. My only gripe is that one level (in the middle) is impossibly difficult, and the developers have said that they have difficulty with it themselves and have questioned whether to reduce the difficulty. Um, yes. Yes you should. If you can't do it, what chance do us plebs have? Great game though, adictive, fun, challenging.

Fun tower defense game that succeeds where a lot of other TD games have failed. It is smart in how ramps up the difficulty and has a great "one more time" feeling. Wonderful game for the price. Quibbles: * Make sure you have a good CPU, especially if you're running the Vive Wireless Adapter. I have an i5-65k with a 1080, and I had to scale the graphics way back to avoid the fuzzies. * Love the flexibility in where I put the towers, but dropping them, they sometimes float a little off if I don't hold my hand exactly still. * I would appreciate being able to pick up towers without bending all the way over.
